Just got home from seeing Eliane Elias at Catalina’s tonight in Hollywood. Buzz in that room began when she walked on stage and never subsided. Electricity in her performance, spectacular chemistry with her brilliant band and a packed house enraptured from start to finish. One of the best evenings of music I’ve had the privilege of experiencing. Ever. A Jazz Master of the highest order - the joy emanating from her musical being is incomparable.

Almost authentic? Really? This is music performed at the highest level. Raphael is Brazilian, Eliane too and I’m pretty sure the guitarist is. Marc Johnson among the finest bassists/musicians ever. In my opinion……AUTHENTIC!
