Gensou Shoujo Taisen Kou (Lunatic) - Stage 1 (Reimu): "The Wonderous Shrine Maiden of Paradise"

Had some experience playing with Normal (or known in Complete Box as Normal+) difficulty, I decided to try out GST Kou's Lunatic difficulty.
And boy, was it a rough start. Makes me wonder if this game is even rigged.
The story so far:
"Several days have passed since a crimson mist harmful to humans covered over all of Gensoukyou. Sensing danger, local teacher Kamishirasawa Keine paid a visit to a certain shrine located East.
In search of the Youkai extermination specialist, the Hakurei Shrine Maiden..."
