A permanent resident who was pleaded guilty to a felony conviction for Burglary in 1988 and in the process of deportation proceedings asks Brad Bernstein if there is anything that can be done for his case. Brad introduces two options that might help his case. First, asking the judge to terminate his removal proceedings to file for naturalization. Second choice, he can file a 212 (C) waiver (Applying for Cancellation of Removal). Check out the video for more details!

Hi I was convicted as burglary felony, and I finish my sentences, probation and I pay all the fees. And they drop my case to a designated misdemeanor. My question is can I still apply for a citizenship?

I signed for a felony PC 459 2nd degree vehicle burglary in 2000, I spent 6 months in county jail. Around 2003 judge deported me under 101(a)(43)(G) . What are my options on filing an appeal or filing a waiver form to regain legal US residence?

    Good Day to you!
First and foremost, thanks for reading my post. I was Inadmissible at Chicago airport recently and got a ban for 5 years due to some mismatch of work documentation and working part time in US on B1/B2 visa. I have my fiancé and my sister in the US and I’m devastated that I can’t enter at this point in time. My fiancé’s mother is in the last stage of her pancreatic cancer. I wanted to be there for them and all this happened. Could you please suggest what can be done in my case. Can we file a waiver for me to be there before my ban period. It’s painful cuz we had so many plans and everything has been shattered. Please help me out!

hi mr.Bernstein ,my name is Erwin Villa , i got my green card on 1985 in the same year i was senteced 10 years , In 1994 immigration began the process of removing me even though I was a legal resident.finally in December 1994 I was deported to my country Colombia. In 2001, after waiting for five years, I was admitted to the United States again through my ex-wife who is an American citizen, but without requesting any forgiveness, I just waited five years and applied for residency through my wife. Back then and the embassy admitted me back to the United States, but in 2006 after returning from vacation in my country I was put in deportation proceedings because according to the agents I could not have been in the United States without not having applied. A sorry . In 2008, due to my mother's illness with terminal cancer, I had to leave the United States voluntarily.I would like to know what can be done because I was put in deportation proceedings for the same charge for which I was deported the first time (intention to sell cocaine) I was sentenced to 10 years of which I spent a year 4 months in prison and the I finished the rest in Parol.
