Into the Lore: Lugia is the KEY to EVERYTHING!!

- In the world of Pokemon, we've all wanted answers to questions that seem impossible to get. When it comes to Lugia, the biggest question everybody has is "why the heck is Lugia not a water type?" Some argue he should be water/flying, others argue water/psychic, but the world agrees water should be there! I planned on answering why Lugia is truly a water type...and thanks to Lugia's Pokedex and interview, I discovered more than I could've ever imagined. #pokemon #lugia #theory
- Hry
Obviously these theories are CRAZY...but do you believe any of them? What Pokemon or even other video game would you love to look into the lore next??
Yeah I believe you you’re not crazy
Mimikyu's lore would be interesting. What's under the costume? Why does it react so violently when it thinks someone has seen its true form?
Hypno would be interesting
Personally always thought ho-oh started the fire for either jealousy or territorial reasons
I didn't WANT to believe this theory, but you make some compelling arguments!! The part about the three legendary dogs actually being eeveelutions was MIND BOGGLING! I love this as a head cannon, if it's not actually true.
The legendary dogs being eeveelutions is not a new theory… you’ve been on YT for 16 years and haven’t come across the theories from back in 2014-2018? Try out Bird Keeer Toby’s channel backlog if you’re interested in this sort of content.
@@IvoryAspen97 Nope. I've never come across, nor looked into, any Pokemon theories. I've never had the inkling to do so. I'll give Bird Keeper (?) Toby's channel a look though.
EDIT: I only came across this channel through his Palworld shorts. :P
@@TheTabby gotcha. It is a fun but shrinking corner of the internet. In the past years, Toby was largely responsible for turning disparate channels into a proper community. But now he’s retired… sad day 😢. If you start with his, then you can out his recommended channels too.
Another good channel is Lockstin & Gnoggin. He’s done a pal world vid recently and is still active.
I don’t know, this all sounds a little Farfetch’d to me. I think Ho’oh, being a fire bird, may have caused the fire by accident, and the storm was actually Lugia’s attempt to put it out. Maybe Ho’oh resurrected those three pokémon out of guilt.
Yea that actually makes more sense than anything else
I really hope the next time we go to Johto, Lugia will have a type change to Water/Flying.
Or water psychic and it Flies via its psychic powers
Could get a mega evolution to do it
I mean it would make sense the following scenario gen 10 is somewhere like brazil or korea with connections to japan in real life so there are also connections to the first 4 gens so it can be a legents jotho but i feel like the two country exemplos are the best bet for that because there is the gen 9 situation where it can be both unova and jotho guessed for next remake
@@noemad5391i personaly dislike the idea of megas because are 100bst worth it when the pokemon is suffering
@@emanuel585 dude then your against pokemon as a whole. They battle and hurt each other constantly. Not to mention the pokemon who are just already in pain constantly.
This theory is possible cause there used to be three towers because 2 towers got hoho and Lugia what if there was a third legendary in the third tower maybe that legendary was blown away by shadow lugia so with the loss of his friend lugia did all he could to protect the ones he loves every sense
I would love to see you put on hilariously bad costumes when you talk as the other person/pokemon
Like with Lugia you could just make a helmet/mask out of white paper or something
Might help to differentiate the reporter/theorist version of you vs the Pokémon/subject
Just a thought, love the videos though! You’ve got a great and super unique video style/premises. Keep it up!
If the protagonist is the son of Lugia, then does the mother have any knowledge of this?
I do love this question because there’s multiple ways that answer could go! Is the mom aware and along for the ride? Is the mom completely unaware and believes she’s now looking after the child of her partner they have before meeting her? Did…Is she somehow the actual mother? More make sense than others but still so cool it could go multiple ways!
Yeah is she aware or did she have no idea it’s hilarious because lugia still you know got the stork
Unless Dad Lugia reproduced asexually, likely there was a Mom Lugia that created the existence of a child Lugia in the first place
Ngl looked at the main channel cuz the lil shorts are goofy and funny. Didn't expect the catch some of the best pokemon theory content I've seen in a while 🙏🏾🫡 loving it
I think he’s gone insane, granted it takes insanity to solve the biggest mystery.
Hey ... I loved the video i hope you bring up new theories ahead i have come across ur channel a few days ago and i really like ur content you are very entertaining as well as informative .. well you deserve a sub
How does it work with team aqua and magma together at the same time
THIS THEORY IS CORRECT WE NEED TO KNOW MORE INTO IT
Okay, but counter argument, you are a Lugia in every game *except* Gen 1. In Gen 1, You are the son of Shadow Lugia and your "uncle" (Regular Lugia) is protecting you from turning to darkness. Every other game though, you are Lugia's son.
That was a goof, gotcha 😂
You know, I did start my journey in Sinnoh...
I went to do research and now I realize I unironically looked up daddy lugia.
I knew it was shadow lugia so wait in game we are catching are father
How does scarlet and violet fit into this theory
4:24 shadow pokemon have never been apart of the main franchise, only ever appearing in side games and GO. I personally consider the Orre games canon since you can transfer Pokemon from them into Gen 3 games with the right equipment. But their stories have never crossed paths, especially since the regions are nearly on the opposite sides of the world from each other (Johto is apart of Japan and Orre is based on Arizona/New Mexico). I don’t find this theory plausible.
Don’t even get me started on crossing canons with the TCG of all things… 😑
It did make a crossover with the anime in Pokemon 4ever movie
The dark balls made the pokemon they caught shadow pokemon
@@pokemonmaster9753 ehhh, I guess you could that Dark Forest Monster Celebi was a Shadow Pokemon. But still, the anime, TCG, and Mainline Games are all separate canons (in my eyes). And side games are situational.
@@IvoryAspen97
No the sneasel, tyranitar, scizor and celebi once it was captured.
@@pokemonmaster9753 I understand there was more than one in that movie, but my point still stands. I consider the anime a different canon, and irrelevant to this theory.
Each game has a different protagonist and even some of them meet like red with gold black and white 2 protagonists and sun and moon protagonists
Also black and white protagonist meet black and white 2 protagonist
Also also Archie and Maxie meet and when you show them there mistake they learn there lesson
Also how will you explain rainbow rocket?
Those are a lot of stuff that denise your theory
Other then the fact you can catch Lugia in the games
I mean it had the water tera type naturally in scarlet and violet but yeah he should be water psychic in my opinion
If Team Magma's leader is shadow Lugia
How about team Aqua's leader?
But that’s just a theory
Hi
Howdy!
6:27 No. Just no. A for effort in your fanfic of a theory, but you’re pulling information from outside the franchise on this one.
Was Lugia Hau
1. Each protag is a completely different character that often meets past protags.
2. Its far more likely that there is some kind of rivalry between lugia and ho-oh. Whether it was territorial or an actual attack on lugia's home by ho-oh.
3. Its been basically confirmed that the three dogs that were revived were evee evolutions.
4. Mixing the tcg of all things in with your theory is grasping at straws.
A for effort though
Also as an addendum: the timeliness is massively screwed because that would mean a shadow lugoa would have to be created 150 years AT LEAST before the events of the pokemon gold/silver/crystal. Since that's how long ago the tower was burned and lugia went into its watery exile.
Tbh, there are so many wrong things with this.
Like, Shadow Lugia having been created 150 years before the Johto games (since Lugia went in the sea that long ago). As if the technology for turning a Lugia evil would have been created at the time.
Plus that the retelling of the events is wrong, as the Evolution web-series showed in the episode The Show that "Lugia called for rain" (it clearly used Rain Dance, move it has always had btw) , and it was only after the fire was extinguished that Lugia went to the sea. And to bring sense into the storm and why Lugia went to the sea afterwards, The Movie:2000 has the obvious explanation. Arti and Molt met somewhere near Ecruteak, thus bringing Zap, and the storm went wild, into what we know in the form of the towers story.
And did Lugia spend time underwater before the towers? We don't know, and maybe the humans only assumed Lugia is the master of the sea because they hadn't seen it before and only met it when it got to the towers, thus only having known Lugia to be underwater most of the time. 150 years in the water, compared to a potentially immortal pokemon, is nothing. Do people expect to have Lugia being affected by a Soak-like effect over time?
And if we're talking about the tcg, Lugia being mainly colorless in reference to its Flying-type indicates that if it weren't to be Psychic type, it wouldn't be Water instead, no, it would be pure Flying.
And the only Dad lugia speculation I would consider (semi-)canon would be with Ash. I mean, that's the biggest pokemon dad mystery there's been. And tbh, I believe in it partially because of a 'legendaries looking over Ash & Co.'s adventures, antics and whatnot through a groupchat' fanfic series featuring Lugia as Ash's dad. (Chosen One's Adventures with Legendaries, or COAL for shorts. On AO3) Otherwise, there would be a lot of implications in too many regions about pokemon catching pokemon. And we had enough because of Mewtwo.
And Lugia being based on Ryujin, why not, but if we're tlaking about Shintoism, don't forget Susanoo god of the sea and storms, suspected of the murder of the goddess of food, even though the main suspect is his brother Tsukuyomi, god of the night, moon and tides(night and more especially the moon then being associated with psychic type or normal type) who went away from Amateratsu like how Lugia went into the sea and doesn't see the sun and sky Ho-oh is looking over, with its name most probably coming from lugeo, latin for the verb to mourn, which could be about the trio trapped in the tower.
So, honestly, for each point about Lugia not being psychic or for Lugia being water type, there's either a counter-point or an entire other approach that would explain the psychic type instead.
So Lugia is a psychic type and it shouldn't be a water type, on the account of his flying type being mandatory and thus psychic/water not being possible.
Taking a fun Pokémon fan theory video a bit too seriously in my opinion
@@The_Prime_MEMEister
Maybe, but it's only the result of seeing too many people saying that Lugia should be water type without much legitimate points, and some of them also saying that Palkia should have been a Psychic type instead of a water type, and so of the pent up disapointment and maybe anger at seeing people not trying to make a better case for themselves because I value being thorough on some subjects, and of course that would include my favorite pokemon.
You don't play as the same character in every game. Is Lugia just going around and having kids with a bunch of women?
If I'm a lugia then I might look different in each game
@@nitroderp7876 with a different mom?
@@NumberBreak
I guess Lugia would be an mf then, so for the lols, yes I guess.
