    In the kpop industry once you debut and are a working idol - you are expected to pay of your trainee and other debts, plus production cost for every comeback. YG, SM, HYPE and etc. even 90-90% of all kpop companies operate like this and we have proof based on legal documents, member confirmations and etc. No one will give you millions of dollars to debut and comeback for free.
    Legal, this called the company paying the cost up front and the workers under them paying them back first and sharing in the profits after the initial deb tis paid off.
    The idol gets to debut and comeback and not have to pay hundreds of thousand of dollars to make the mv, album and etc. with the understanding and legal ramifications that they will pay it back. If BTS, MAMAMOO, Twice, Big bang, Blackpink, G--idle and basically all idol groups understand the risk involved and still have to pay it back. So do these girls.
    This is nothing new - something everyone knows about the kpop industry. The company will invests and bare the upfront cost, but you will only be paid one you pay off your debt. Only in around 5-10% of the cases, of all acting idols, do idols make any money even if it is 10 usd in all of this before their debt is paid off to the company.
    I'm sorry but i dont feel sorry for these girls, everyone and their grandparents know this in Korea. The company explains this when you sign - not to mention it is in the contract you sign once you are a trainee, and then an idol pre-debut. With the intention that once you debut you will pay it back.
    I'm sorry what company pays for your dance, singing, English and etc lessons, housing and etc. for free and does not expect you to cover the cost once you debut - they train you, so you can make money and pay them back post debut. If they didn't have their idols pay them back, the company would be bankrupt, and we will have 1-3 companies and like 6 idols in kpop. This is a business and a job with the potential of you making millions of dollars if you make it big.
    This is why MAMAMOO, TWICE, G-dile, BTS, BigBang SEVENTEEN and etc. in their debut years 1-4 lived with basically no money, until one of their cbs hit big and they paid of their debts and got money. And with each cb it is the same - the company bares the upfront cost, with the understanding that their efforts will be repaid first and then the idols will be compensated.

    Keena made a painful effort to persuade the three girls. She even gave them transportation expenses to meet them, and even got down on her knees in front of the three girls and begged them to return. But the three girls despised Keena, and the next day, Keena received a phone call from one of the members' parents. “Don’t contact my daughter in the future! Are you a spy for ATTRAKT?”

    It was revealed in an article that the members never really wanted a lawsuit against attrakt it was the givers ceo and the members parents who went ahead with it, the givers ceo manipulated the members and their parents into filing the lawsuit against attrakt the givers ceo is a complete fraudster and should be the one facing charges all the girls are still so young so when contracts were signed it was their parents essentially signing it for them i love fifty fifty and will always support the 4 original members after all they've been through its not fair at all to put the blame on them the kpop industry is just so toxic and sinister unfortunately

    I do think none of the mid-size even big company will ever hire them. Like JYPE CEO said, working attitude and manners are already all over the place. Unless they give hard evidence and not just hear-say, not "just because", none will believe them other than their own fans. If you are an idol, that means you WORK for the company unless you own it, thus these attitude and manners of course will be especially important. The fans always give them "understanding" that they are still kids and young and easy to manipulate, yeah sure, what about their parents? If seen like right now, their parents still controlling their life and choice as well, the company will see that too therefore signing with them = signing with their family = can be another lawsuit and many drama things.

      What about the CEO of Attrakt? He hired the person who caused this mess. If you're willing to forgive the CEO for falling for a fake work history, believing the lie he shouldn't go in while the girls were practicing because they'd be uncomfortable, and putting The Givers in charge of of most interactions with the group; how much more so should you be willing to forgive the girls who have less life experience and no say in who managed them and produced their music.

    • @flaggov6949
      @flaggov6949 Před 5 měsíci

      @@Laughoutla_odd It's pretty complicated and hard to give an overview fair to all parties, but it's important to understand that due to cultural differences Korean fans and Western fans tend to see the situation differently. The girls sued to get out of their contract saying the company was mistreating them, disclosed a member's health history without consent, and treated them poorly. The CEO of Attrakt said the girls were being manipulated to leave the company by the person (and the person's staff) hired to manage the girls and produce their music. As a Westerner, I think there's truth in both statements. It's pretty clear the producer is a liar. He lied about his background and appears to have done some sneaky things to get a larger portion of the music royalties. When it comes to the girls allegations, much of what their company did is typical in Korea especially in the kpop industry; however in the West some of the same incidents are very poor treatment. People who think the company did no wrong, think the girls must have left out of greed and hate the girls for it. People who disagree with the company's treatment, think the girls had a valid reason to sue. I think the producer used the way they were being treated to convince them to leave. He knew they were unhappy and saw an opportunity with Warner Brothers to get the girls away from Attrakt and under his control. Regardless of what anyone believes about their treatment, my first comment still stands--if you think the CEO who hired the producer is a victim of the producer's lies, logically the girls are even more the producer's victims because they had no say in whether they worked with him, had been given the impression by the fact the CEO hired him that he was trustworthy, and have little life experience or business experience to help them figure out the truth.

    They have been released from their contract. They get what they want. They can pursue other contracts. Whether anyone would ever sign them up again is a whole other matter.
    The money isn’t mixed up with FF’s money. The funds are clearly separated. Also, the original capital was clearly given to the man who then set up Attrakt. That money wasn’t invested directly into the group.

      At this point, unless some international label picks them up, pretty unlikely we're ever going to see Aran, Shio and Saena performing again anytime soon. Fifty Fifty may be rebuilt around Kina but unlikely they will do a comeback any earlier than spring 2024.

      @@p4r4g0n The Fifty Fifty brand only needs one member to truly survive. They have Keene now and I think it was very wise of her to go back to the company. They can find new vocalists and another rapper to fill in the spots for Aran, Sio, and Saena and rebrand the Fifty Fifty group. I am also hearing from social media that the other three members are now negotiating their return to the agency under the condition that they will have no interaction with CEO Jeon Hong Jun.

      @@p4r4g0n it’s not that simple, even teenagers who steal can, and sometimes go to Juvie. These girls who have been complacent in an attempt at escaping a valid contract by falsifying evidence are due millions in counter sue compensation and their legal representatives e.g. their parents may be looking at even harsher sentences. Any company that takes them on after all of this will not only have to pay Attrakt these costs, but also take on the risk that these girls will backstab them.
      Make no mistake, there was definitely talent here. But moral character is always more important. there’s 1 million people that can sing and dance, but there are only a select few who have the long-term personality and work ethic to make it in this industry.
