Maybe doing this did improve himself? When I found out my gf was unfaithful while we were taking a “break” I hooked up with other women and genuinely felt better about myself. When a partner cheats it can make you feel worthless and not good enough, being able to have positive romantic relations with other people genuinely builds confidence and helps you forget about your ex.

He used info solely given to him in confidence to find these women, and while they were not in a couple at the time, the MOTIVE for using them was to have revenge intercourse, take pictures, then tell this cheater so it would hurt and devastate her. He would not have done so without the intent to hurt her, and when he reconciles that information down the line, he will have to come to terms with the fact that he was capable of hurting somebody this badly, which going off of the story’s beginning and middle parts…OP was not a bad guy before this, he became like this because of her cheating.
