The rhythm and style of this song sounds like a blend of Scottish folk music, Epic orchestral music and a God glorifying hymn. Another wonderful testimony to His greatness. Thanks and love from the Scottish Highlands.
I thought it had an Ulster twang, as in "any wee thing". The hymn was written by John Jacob Niles from a fragment he heard sung in the Appalachians, which is where the Scots-Irish went in America, so I think we can claim a connection 😉
@@DavidCather Haha - there are many connections between the Scots and Irish and ‘any wee thing’ is also a Scots expression. You’d be surprised how close many of the Highland and Western Isles accents are to Irish accents. Och well - you can share it with us then 😉😆

I can relate and it's been more than a few years for me. However, we are both still standing and the LORD will bring you back to Himself. HE knows what we have been through and His mercies are new every morning. Just don't give up!! The gates of hell will not prevail against his church and that is us. Focusing on JESUS and not our darkness is the answer. We must be strong and courageous. Many believers are going through a lot. You are NOT alone!!! God bless and keep you.

I learned this in a beautiful children's choir from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. HELEN LITZ was our conductor. We sang it at Christmas concerts and I have continued to sing it and adore it now, for 5 decades. You have blessed me beyond words.......by complete accident.....I am grieving my husband's death. I have not ears for today's music whatsoever, and have LONGED for UNIQUE songs .................your emanation is pure genius. THANK YOU for the work and effort that brought this to LIFE...........It should be appreciated by every possible peoples without limitations to season or traditions. All of my grandparents were born in Russia. OMSK was my mother's birthplace. They emigrated when she was one year, in 1925, leaving many family members behind, to GOD KNOWS what horrors. The Hallelu Yah is a perfect addition. HOW BEAUTIFUL

I have always loved epic orchestral music, but I've never seen amazing worship songs and epic orchestral music combined! This is the kind of music that I thought only existed in my head. I'm still not good enough at scoring to do something like this, but this is my dream! I'm so happy to find that someone makes the kind of music that I've always wanted to hear.
