Así le gustaban a Freddie, de hecho quien anduvo tras de Jim fue Freddie, porque muy al principio Jim no le hacía caso, pues en su libro narra que no le agradaban los hombres tan delgados y tampoco era fan de Queen, hasta que Freddie lo fue enamorando y se convirtieron en una pareja muy sólida. Freddie siempre dijo que con Jim había encontrado una relación muy comprensiva y que se sentía muy cómodo con él.
