There is a kind of issue with sadistic punishment mindsets that makes multiple people "the bad guys".
If a drunk driver hits me with their car (actually happened to me) it makes them the bad guy.
If I hunted her down and punitive tortured her because she was "the bad guy" it would make me a bad guy too.
Just because someone else is bad doesn't mean I should be.
      They aren't heros.
It is rather that the hero punisher concept is self contradictory.
Heros aren't about punishment. They are about saving, protecting, defending, providing, and healing.
A punisher is just another bad guy. The vast majority of the worst sins done in humanity were rationalized with suffering/punishment dynamics.
Even Hitler wrote a book about his suffering and how he was punishing the world.
The punishment view doesn't come from a place of healing but rather sadism, narcissistic tendencies, and an inability to recover from trauma.
I.e. they aren't the heros. Rather they are bad guys and she also is a bad guy.

On a certain level, we have a love spell in our brain, the neurochemicals that show up in flow: so dopamine, norepinephrine, anandamide, endorphins, and serotonin. If you were to try to cocktail the street drug version of that, right, you're trying to blend like heroin and speed and coke and acid and weed- and point is, you can't do it. It turns out the brain can cocktail all of 'em at once, which is why people will prefer flow to almost any experience on Earth. It's our favorite experience. It's the most addictive experience on Earth. Why? 'Cause it cocktails five or six of the largest pleasure drugs the brain can produce. We're all capable of so much more than we know. That is a commonality across the board. And one of the big reasons is we're all hardwired for flow, and flow is a massive amplification of what's possible for ourselves.

This film, in too many ways, resembles Tomie (1998). Created by Junji Ito, the mastermind behind Uzumaki, the manga and film were about a beautiful female creature who could control anyone, man or woman. Driving them insane with love to where they would destroy themselves or focus their crazed violence against others, including Tomie. And yet, no matter what happened to this creature, she would constantly regenerate and come back to life.
However, there is no evidence that writer-producer Jeffrey Reddick, who helped create the Final Destination series, was inspired by that J-horror film.
And yet, the parallels are too stark to ignore. A beautiful girl with supernatural powers, the ability to take control of anyone's mind, and seemingly indestructible. Even the name of the character and story, Tamara, could be construed as a westernized variant on Tomie.
The only thing breaking the mold between both stories is that Tamara was a stand-alone film while Tomie spawned a 9 part film series from 1998 to 2011.
If Riddick was inspired by this j-horror juggernaut, he'll likely never admit to it since he was unwilling or able to turn it into a film series. (☉‿☉✿)

@@nativenewyorker3144 Hello there. Your comparison between Jennifer's Body (2009) and Tamara (2005) is very astute. Both movies deal with a protagonist who has crossed paths with black magic and Satanism. Thus, they are transformed into a supernatural creature that causes untold mayhem upon an unsuspecting populace.
However, if you actually read Stephen King's novel or at least watched the original film adaption, you would know that the protagonist only has one superpower: telekinesis.
Indeed, in the original novel, Carrie White's ability to move objects was never thoroughly explained. And yet, in the epilogue, when the authorities conclude an investigation of Carrie's rampage, it is hinted that her telekinesis was born from a rare genetic defect. And, in another part of the world, a small child is discovered demonstrating the same telekinetic abilities as Carrie.
Or in other words, Carrie White would have been right at home at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning if given the opportunity.
If she proved herself to not be a narcissistic reprobate sociopath like Max Eisenhardt & the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Professor Xavier likely would have made her part of the X-Men.

@@duke_of_lilywhite4829 I’m aware of her powers. I’m a very big fan of the novel. I just mean that the movies are more similar in the trope they follow. While all movies are based on Carrie, Tamara follows much more heavily. The movie relied strongly on the idea of the bullied protagonist getting revenge due to some “big prank”. To be fair though, all three, Carrie, Tamara, and Tomie could just as easily be the same thing. It just sounds like Tomie is crossing more into demonic territory like Jennifer’s Body than witchcraft

Chloe has multiple personalities, she was in the entire prank, she knows it’s Tamara (AT LEAST FROM MY POINT OF VIEW, I RESPECT YOURS, SO I WON’T FORCE IT ON ANYONE, AS EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT PERCEPTIONS) she even laughed, dint do anything to stop it, even tho she tried defending Tamara later, she was into it EARLIER. And I wouldn’t say Tamara is obsessed with witchcraft, she’s just dedicated. I don’t perceive it as obsessive. Her spell did worked but in a way she din’t exactly desired. I wonder why Tamara’s MALE HATERS still hated her tho even tho she went HOT. I dint quite understand the logic of the writer there, cause I would’ve made them like her, while the mean girls would envy her, but they’ll still all die. Other than that, this is PERSONALLY one of my favorite movies.

Karma is stronger than any spell work so be careful what you do. There was only 2 innocent people in this entire story in my opinion. Friends are always like minded even if nobody knows it.
