I wish more CZcams videos would be as good as this one. To the point, not too long, great information, thanks so much for this! The only thing that could have made it better is maybe to help people choose the right system with some examples. If your situation is X, then Y is a good fit, etc.

thanks for the video. i bought a tower (aeroponics), i see some crunchy white power forming around the tower and gradually the plants are dying. not sure what the problem is. the same water when I used in a bottle they are growing pretty faster. any insights are greatly appreciated.

Most aeroponic towers are vertical NFT, not aeroponic :) The white deposits are likely to be calcium, either from hard water or from the nutrient solution due to evaporation. I`d check the air temperature inside the tower, its more important than the nutrient temperature in the reservoir :)

With genuine aeroponics the water isnt misted on to the roots, the roots are suspended in a mist environment. To highlight the difference, if you go out on a rainy day you will get wet as the raindrops hit you. Conversely, if you go out on a foggy day, you will be immersed in the fog and over time you will become damp. This is how genuine aeroponic works, the roots are never wet nor dry they simply remain at a relatively constant dampness due to being in the mist environment.
Aeroponic roots look entirely different to hydroponic roots and it is this difference that provides all of the advantages associated with aeroponics. No aeroponic root structure, no benefit over hydroponics
