Brother, you do an outstanding job with your rings! Absolutely beautiful! I wish there was someone I could take a class from locally here in Oregon and learn this as a hobby. Just got an 1878 Morgan Silver Dollar ring! Thanks for the knockout video. Sincerely, Scott 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Greetings! What should be the characteristic of the current for a uniform application of a layer of paint? 15 or 25,000 volts? Will 10,000 be enough for a normal process?
I’m A coin ring maker also and I powder coat as well. Your vids are great very informative. It’s nice to know I use pretty much the same style of making rings as you. I’d love to show u some of my work if you wld like to see it.
Do you think that the powder coating method used on a steel/copper/nickel coin ring, will take care of a green effect mark left on some customers fingers?
Great Video as always! I apologize if someone already asked this on another of your videos but I was wondering what setting (Hi or Low) you use with your Eastwood gun?
Awesome powder coating video. I have a side question on a side object on the background on your video. Your fluid bed, what is your use on this, being that it is thicker coating? Thanks
Early attempts at applying PC went through fluid baths, but were yes, too thick. I will still use them for some stuff - the other day I coated a bead - as I wanted a nice thick durable coat. You can find applications, but nothing for me works better for the rings than a charged brush.... Thanks for watching.
I got the same gold you did but it turned a rose color. I talked to the powder coat store and they said I have to put a thick coat for it to be a gold color. Have you ever had that problem using this color? Any ideas how I can strip this powder coat and start over on the same ring? Thank you. Love your videos helped me a lot.
Learn something new every time I watch your videos. Great job!

GOOD VIDEO VERY INFORMATIVE THANK YOU
Thanks!
This was just the answer I was looking for. The one problem I have, is i would like evry colour available, but in the UK they only come in kilo bags!
Perhaps order from the US in smaller numbers but many at one time to make shipping more reasonable?

Thanks a lot paul. Great video
It’s awesome that so many people on amazon bought the shave brush that it automatically suggests the corks for ring plug. Lol
Great video Thank You
Great video.
Do you sell your rings ??
Do you think that the powder coating method used on a steel/copper/nickel coin ring, will take care of a green effect mark left on some customers fingers?
Love the powder coat look great video very informative do you think the clear would work over a liver of sulfur patina or would it not stick
I feel confident it would work fine, but perhaps I will do a quick video of that exact thing... Watch for it to pop up soon... Thanks for watching....
Great Video as always! I apologize if someone already asked this on another of your videos but I was wondering what setting (Hi or Low) you use with your Eastwood gun?
High! That's the main reason I bought it, the higher power helps coat the ring easier...

Should one wear a dust mask or respirator during the application of powder coating?
YES! Anything like that can easily go into your lungs!
Is your toaster oven temperature pretty accurate
I tested it once with a separate oven gauge, and it was damn close....

The thickness of the coat will indeed alter the color, but I haven't had it be that drastic. To get it off, just drop it in a jar of acetone....
@@pauly7218 Ok great. I did see after I did mine you put a lot on the ring. I will try that acetone and do it again. Thank you for the info Paul.

What grit is the sanding block that you prefer to use?
The ones I use are from a beauty supply store and a finger nail buffers. Not sure they have a"grit". I use the Yellow ones.....
What brand of clear powder coat do you use?

Great information. I’d like to see a little more of the process and less of your back and shoulder.

It hurt me to see how much water you waste

Please be careful 😳💕
