The tail betrays him every time. Bailey has good poker face, but a very obvious tell.
That was so cute-----the dog just wanted to lay there and chill, while the cat just wanted to investigate him,lol.

My Labrador Retriever aged 17 passed away a few weeks ago. At the time we had 6 kittens in the house from a stray cat we picked up from a bin area. They've all now gone to new homes. Bailey and his little friend made me smile, especially remembering how the little ones would cuddle into and clamber over the old fella who would just patiently lie and let them do their thing. Thank you Bailey and kitten xx 💞

Goldie’s are just lovable. My daughter’s pet rabbit was infatuated with our boy Jake. She would not leave his side out in the backyard. Our cats also seemed to be drawn to him. When he died of cancer at the age of five it was one of the saddest days of my life.

Bailey is so sweet to the kitten, it wouldn't surprise me if he becomes the kittens biggest protector 👍❤️.
Our golden retriever became a nurse maid when our Norwegian Forrest cat had two kittens.
They were born in the winter and a lot of the time winter kittens don't make it.
He decided that he would do anything for the kittens to thrive.
We kept them in a tub that was high enough so they couldn't get out but low enough for the mamma cat to get in and out.
We kept them next to our wood burning stove, to keep them warm.
We had 4 dogs and he wouldn't let the other dogs come near the Kittens.
From the day they were born, he would clean them and lay next to the tub ready to do what ever he could to help mamma cat.
She became pregnant with the kittens when she was 10 years old, we assumed she was sterile and unable to have kittens so we were thrilled when we found her litter in the rafters of the garage, we carefully moved them into their new home.
It became clear from the way she treated the kittens she didn't quite know what to do, she would feed them but she wouldn't lick them after to make them go to the bathroom, our golden Retriever would take over once the mamma had fed them, it was all very unusual especially since he was a male dog, both kittens made it and grew up as large Norwegian Forrest cats.
When the time came we had the female and the mamma spayed and the male neutered.
For the rest of his life our golden retriever was followed around by his two babies, they would sleep snuggled up to him, he was very protective of them where ever was they were never far away from him.
When he passed away due to his age for a long time they kept looking for him, that was heart breaking to watch.
