Once again, awesome show Chip. My father and uncles are going crazy right now, they had e12 m535i e23 735i, e23 m728i e23 733i e28's and many e12's Capri GT''s even a Capri 302 V8, lots of e30's, they sold them for under 20k like 20 years ago, and they were beautiful cars, I always knew these cars were worth a lot more than what they were going for because of the way they made you feel, changing gears and accelerating with your feet on the back seat😆

this guy is a crook, he used old parts to do my car, he robbed me over 250k, he is very desperate for money this guy and can go to any extent to rob you, be careful my brother, if you do not believe me, send me a text and I’ll show u how much I paid and what I got in return. The only nice cars are his and that is what he shows ppl to attract clients. Most of the cars he makes come back in a day or two for some reason. This guy is a crook be careful my brother🤞🏻
We have such an emotional attachment to BMW's... the E30's... the E12's... the V8 M5's. The iconic 325is. It will only grow. South Africans love these cars. We grew up with these cars. All the big ous had the cars.
The m3 e92 cause it's one of the last v8 m3 and it's soon to be a collector car especially the dct I think the car was built for the dct it makes the car sound amazing the downshifts is eargasams

My first car was a blue 1100 clubman that was heavily modified , side draughts exhaust alles , but i relate with chips headaches 😅 , still a classic too . Climbing in value too but not for the feint hearted 😅😅
9:28 Yes all the things you've mentioned are included in the reason but also for porsches it depends on the generation for now the sort after generation is 930,964 and 993 for companies like singer and RWB .In the future when the 930s,964s and 993 are all brought up then the 996 when be in demand.

I understand the cars are valuable but for example, private seller has a e36m3 mint for like 250k. Then Montecarlo has 1 in same or similar condition for 450k😮😮😮

What I have learnt is, car collection is not a cheap exercise. Also, you really need to have a good judgement of which cars can possibly appreciate in value otherwise you sit with a garage full of worthless cars. I’ll always be a Beemer guy

Wow, this an exciting episode which I learnt about investments in cars and how Bmw's appreciate in value than Mercedes. It is interesting to see how you can actually buy 2 or 3 beautiful cars like BMW M3's or Porshe's with prices ranging from R 600 000 to over R 1 000 000.

Bmw e39 M5 is a must in your collection chip. And also the E28 M5 the wolf in sheeps clothing.
Its seems most of this e28 cars was exported to australia and new zealand back in the days.

the m140i for me is one of those cars that are not too expensive but hold value. i got mine for 500k 4 years ago and received offer of the same price. for me i think the M2 comp is gonna hold value...

A couple of reasons, the EV era has kicked in, combustion high end cars are going to crip up, its economics, so prices will appreciate, however, the maintenance of high end cars is unbelievably, unimaginably crazy, i know what I’m talking about, try and replace discs and pads of an M car and or AMG😳😳😳
Most definitely. The maintenance costs are exorbitant, and the skilled labor required to do the maintenance is also high. Good point.

Classic cars are an investment 👌
As Salaam Mu Alykoem brother 🙏 I always believed that BMW is the most advanced car from the early 80's up to the early 2000 because its styling is timeless. You can still buy spares at a reasonable price, sports cars like nissan GTR and other supercars are strictly agents only 😱 we as the average guys in South Africa can't maintain or even afford the maintenance 😂 you will have to eat peanut butter and bread for 3 years just to buy one brake disc on a supercar😱 you will definitely impress your own pocket 😂 BMW parts is always readily available new and used at a reasonable price 🤲

We may or may not do features on certain cars, it depends on the owners who allow us to feature their cars😉
Yes we do all cars in terms of cosmetics, mechanical we only specialise and do Classic BMW motors such as the M20s, Multi valve motors and a few others
Out of all my BMW's I've owned from my e23 745i, 535i E12, the most reliable is any e30 325i, e46 325i,E36 M3 and 330d e90, purely because of speed and any fuel economy. It always goes up in value and the satisfaction 🤲 the last best reliable BMW was in my opinion is the E39 M5 👌 everything after 2012 from VW to BMW is a headache 😞 no spare wheel 🤷 no Jack 🤷 you can't take a chance hitting a trip to anywhere in South Africa 🤷 you need a flat back and a credit card 😅

Market demand determines values. If the market was mad about Maseratis, you would be paying significantly more than those values.

Good day Chip, I'm a young Namibian that's one day looking forward to building an e30 with the best in Africa. I'd love to ask if it's possible to give us a rough estimate as to how much it may cost to build one.
As much as we would love to give you an estimate, It depends entirely on the sort of work you're looking to do, and the car you're planning on using for the build, do you want OEM+, aftermarket or second hand kits? Etc.
