Power. Our mother is our first singer mentor when we are baby.
That child who sang Amazing Grace and wearing his ethnic/tribal wear...dunno why but i cried and felt proud at the same time.
The judges are (from the stage's perspective, starting from the left):
1. Lea Salonga - classical music icon. She sang Disney (Mulan and Princess Jasmine from Aladdin) and famous theatrical perfs (Les Miserables and more).
2. Bamboo - rock icon. He's famous here in PH because of his smooth voice and relatable songs that depicts PH society.
3. Sarah Geronimo - pop icon. She's dubbed as Asia's Pop Princess. She's a staple artist here in PH. She also rose to fame from winning a singing competition.
When I was in the Philippines when I was in the Navy I had the privilege of listening to so many Filipino bands and singers! They were so good!
95% of Filipinos sing well. Unfortunately I'm part of the 5% who couldn't carry a tune even if my life depended on it😂🤣😂🤣

The little girl that almost made Bubs cry singing Home, her name is Esang. You can see Lea getting excited when she turned around and saw her that she shouted "you are mine!" it's because she knows the little girl idolizes her 😊
The Philippines is the only place where I will watch a singing competition as I believe that the producers have no need to put autotune on their contestants

Some of the kids are untrained and can't hit the notes consistently but what I love the most is how raw the show. Cause the compassion of the judges are always there. Of all the singing competition in the Philippines, The voice kids has been my favourite. The interaction of Lea, Bamboo and Sarah with the kids.... I love it so much... Waaaaahhhhh 😭

Im a filipina, i grew up playing "dugtungan"/chain of song. Like from 10 songs to 100 songs after playing sweaty street games. From english to Tagalog. If you miss the chain, you cannot join for 30minutes. The longest "Dugtungan" the better. I dont have golden voice but as early young age I can attest that most of the Filipino kids are really phenomenon in singing.
