Yes, I agree with you. Jin does have a rich passionate voice. His singing can always evoke emotions. People used to say that he was the weakest vocalist in the group. Now he is the epitome of success through hard work! 💜💜

My two absolute favorites combined. BTS and acapella singing. Whew. My only frustration is with Jimin. His voice is my favorite. He shies away from singing alone in from of others. His voice is like a healing balm for your soul. Id listen to him sing acapella all day throwing all my money at him.
I can only imagine that him singing without accompaniment leads to a never ending cycle of fear to screw up -> minor mistakes due to pressure -> reinforces original belief until it spirals. He is also painfully shy when awy from his boys. Alas, I may never see a full acapella from him. I has a sad. 😢
RM has such a lovely voice too (as do Jhope- has really warm tone to his voice I think and does so much backup vocals too cause he has that warmth and really fills the space and Suga too- when he has little bits of melodic rap that are drawn out notes you can really hear it and he had random clips of him singing along with the guys or just singing to himself too aside from Seesaw). You can hear it in some of his melodic raps but because he has to records guides for the guys at times we've been able to hear "his version". There's not tons of clips of RM singing but his voice is really lovely to me. I'm sure some others would know the links, there's one where him and JK are singing together acapella lying on sofas opposite each other but I've only ever been able to find it as part of compilations so if someone has the direct link for that clip I'd really appreciate it.
I love Jimin's voice, just makes my ears snap to attention whenever he starts. I would be interested to find out what the harmonics or frequency of his lower voice look like cause even when he sings lower and even with fry it sounds really different to many of the other singers I've heard. I know everyone's voice is different, of course, but it'd be interesting to see the scientific breakdown of why his voice sounds like it does. I've utterly loved his voice from their very first songs but this past year I don't know if its just a boost in confidence or musicality from getting more composition experience under his belt but he has blown my mind in quite a few performances this year with some gorgeous ad libs, he's done them for a long time obviously but there's been a lot of variations made to performances that have been really musically interesting (hence why I think it's a musicality development).
I really like Jin, JK and V's voices a lot too. The crazy thing i find with BTS is they all have -such- different tones to their voices yet are able to adapt them or write music in such a way that they all sound great together and because the rappers are capable singers too it means the few moments where they all sing the same lines together they actually blend in confidently there's not some sudden departure from the melody cause someone is just talking the line. Its so interesting how such disparate voices can all seamlessly blend together, I'm sure them living together and making music together for so long definitely helps with that too.
I watch a lot of their performances to distract from pain (complex hip injuries and surgeries) and im always so amazed with how enthralling their voices are, even in more simple songs but when they get into an emotional song they really commit to getting that feeling across vocally as well as the lyrics. Always so impressive.
When I heard V sing solo for the first time my first thought was he would sound so good doing R&B with that rich deep soulful voice of his.

Seeing this, since so much of it was from the early rookie yrs, it reminded me of the fact that the other members had been trainees already having vocal coaching for over 1 to 2 yrs already. Jimin, being last to be signed as part of BTS on January 12 2013 just 6 months before they debuted on June 12, 2013 with never having any vocal training, , even said during a Korean tv show that recently interviewed them, how he'd stand outside watching both JK and Tae from outside, watching them being coached/trained by a vocal teacher! Trying to learn as best he could, practicing what he saw being taught to them while watching outside. JIMIN meanwhile was busy learning all the choreography, and dancing to fit in a with the other members, if anything, JIMIN was over trained in dancing, because the style of hip hop dancing for idols is a bit different, not focusing on technique, as well as learning the songs. JIMIN had so much to learn in that short amount of time, but sadly he didn't recieve the personal vocal coaching he wanted so bad, being the perfectionist that he was!
JIMIN even mentioned during a vlog, in a hotel room during a tour in Japan in early 2016, how he'd give anything to be able to take 6 months off, which of course was impossible, to finally get the vocal coaching to learn proper technique to give his vocals more stamina and endurance. Even though JIMIN sang so amazing just naturally, he knew what a help and difference it would make if he too, like the other members had that vocal training as well. That's the only reason
Even still, JIMIN was so good, and able to hit those high notes BigHit still not only officially gave JIMIN the title if Main Dancer but Lead Vocalist,. Luckily throughout the years JIMIN has finally had the chance to get that vocal training to add so much more to his vocals, like working on his vibrato, then exploring other things go work in over the yrs.one can really see the diffence in JIMIN exploring new techniques, adding more color, different phrasing in the songs always not being afraid to experiment and change things up singing the song a bit differently each time.
Especially during the epidemic and being quarantined, all the members have been getting even more vocal coaching, and continually, when you think they can't get any better, somehow they still manage to sound on an even high plateau of heavenly perfection! Valerie, I love what you said when you reacted to Jimin's vocals, how some do have natural vocal abilities, but even people who one would think won't be able to sound good singing can also indeed be trained and coached, or with perseverance, and training!
Sorry for ending up writing more info then I planned, but felt the need, since much of what you heard was from their earlier yrs, so I felt this added if I might help. Having vocal coaching, being trained to learn certain vocal techniques can really make a difference and help in so many ways. It just saddened me that JIMIN was denied that training experience before BTS debuted as well as in their early yrs, but also amazes me all the more just how mind blowing JIMIN is with the vocals he managed to a hit those high notes that have become, so iconic & legendary from those early years like that high note from BTS song Let Me Know, in 2014, that A5 note. Will always amaze me!

Oh nooo!! 😁😅 Haha! 😆 I just realized that this reaction of yours was from 5 months ago. It was in my recommended and for some reason I assumed it was a new reaction! My bad! 🙏 Lol! But would actually love still fro you to react to that BTS JIMIN VOCAL COMPILATION "Raw Voice" because it's even more current then the one you reacted to, plus even better yet, shows mostly JIMIN singing accapella, which the other compilation didn't show accept just one clip.
90% of video was jungkook..not complaining he is main vocal afterall but jimin's clip were hardly shown..

Hi Valerie, Really enjoy your reactions and Boy With Love was my intro to BTS also. The woman who was coaching V is Iris Stephenson, the inspiration for Sister Act II. When the boys filmed American Hustle (2013), she was the vocal coach and told him that people feel when people hear him sing. Can you please do a reaction to BTS's Ioniq:I'm On IT? This video is super old^^ there is a newer one , I believe its from Ohjohnny channel. Or more like, there are many newer one. Recently, they even sang Life Goes On acapella in an interview.

Id love for you to hear a way more up to date, current compilation showing Jimin's so beautiful, ethereal, heavenly, vocal abilities, mainly accapela. It would also give you a chance to see the difference with Jimin's vocal abilities throughout the yrs as well as reacting to other members as well, especially since you just saw how they all sounded during their roomie yrs mainly from 2013 - 2015. I'm sure it would be a most insightful, informative reaction to see! I'll be looking forward to it.

They were too young in most of these videos.. They grew up so much 😚.. of course their voices improved alot and keep improving as they're growing.. BTS were not supposed to be a vocal group as you know, they were supposed to be a hiphop group that doesn't really focus on the vocals.. Their rap line (RM, j-hope, suga) is one the most powerful in k-pop, they have 2 underground rappers (RM and Suga) and it's really rare to see real rappers in kpop groups..
So the fact that they built their voices is really amazing.. And now they have powerful vocals.. from a very high voice to a deep, rich tone..
I think RM has the deepest voice among them(I think).. His voice is so much deeper when he talks.. His voice is so low that he said he has to higher his pitch when he talks or sings..RM records most of BTS's songs with his voice first(as their main song writer and composer).. I've heard some of the original visions with his voice and I think his voice is really nice.. You can hear his voice clearly in his 2nd mixtape "Mono".. No strong rap, only healing songs with his charming voice.. But he rarely sings with his real deep voice..
And I think Jimin has the highest voice? Whenever I hear jimin's voice I feel like he's telling me I love you.. And recently I've been obsessed with "filter" tbh.. When I first got into BTS I couldn't believe how a guy can have such high voice..
Both Jimin and Jin can reach a female's range.. They said it in one of their latest live..they were even arguing who has a higher voice 😂.. They say Jin is the weakest vocalist.. I can never agree..I feel like his voice touches my soul.. I like his voice the most among the 4.. No V.. Jimin?? No.. OMG I don't know.. I can't choose..
I personally want to hear an opera song from V 😂.. I know he's not an opera singer.. But I feel something in his opera voice I don't know.. I said it couple of times.. I don't know if he has a baritone.. I know RM does..
I think V can pull off any kind of singing.. You saw how high he can hit those notes..
And for JK, of course he's the main vocalist for a reason.. He's always had a beautiful bright voice since he was a kid.. I think what makes Jungkook's voice even more attractive is the passion in his voice.. He's able to make any song his own by adding something special to it.. There's a lot of songs that he covered with his voice but he added his own feelings on it.. And that's why I like his voice the most.. (I don't know what's wrong with me I should stop..)
You can see how much they've improved in the live performance of "stay gold" and "your eyes tell"
J-hope already had a sweet voice and he's a sub vocalist.. His voice in live performances of dynamite hits me every time..
RM and Suga said they will sing in a ballad together(as a joke) when they improve their singing.. Well I can't wait..
Anyways, my bias is RM.. His voice is my style.. But they all are hella talented..
Choosing who's the most talented is kinda impossible.. Each one of them adds something to the song...
Writing, rapping, singing and dancing.. Different talents.. So yeah this is BTS..
