- It’s finally time to turn our attention to the timing belt on our Volvo 850. Some parts need to be removed for better access and as we want to replace the alternator, steering pump, serpentine belt, thermostat and some coolant hoses anyway, we’ll remove those as well before actually replacing the timing belt and all components related to that.

On February 21 ’09 our dad bought this ’96 Volvo 850 2.5L 20V estate. The Volvo has a big emotional value for us and seeing the car sitting still for so many years and watching nature taking over broke our hearts. After nine years, and sitting outside for 7 of those 9 years, we finally got our hands on the 850 and brought it back to its home where we will restore it to its former glory. Once we finish the restoration, we intend to make a road trip and keep in the family for many more years to come. - Auta a dopravní prostředky

Maar.. als hij toch zo ver uit elkaar ligt, doe er dan meteen een vers carterventilatie setje op. Kleine moeite om mee te pakken (inlaatspruitstuk moet eraf) maar groot plezier voor het behoud van je krukaskeerringen
Oja, en als je de distributie doet, neem dan meteen je waterpomp in het proces mee. Denk eraan om er een met metalen/aluminium schoepjes te plaatsen, in ieder geval niet van plastic!

Carterventilatie staat wel op ons lijstje om te vervangen maar nog niet deze ronde. Misschien niet heel handig dus😅.
Waterpomp (geen plastic rommel nee!) en de tensioner, looprollen etc. worden wel vervangen deze ronde.
@@MusTRitch Zou het gewoon meepakken, je hebt nu immers alle ruimte om te sleutelen.
Verder zeker lekker bezig heren!
