  • I took a trip to Downtown Vancouver to visit both Rodeo Jewellers and GWC Tudor in an effort to understand how exchanging a dial is done. Had some delicious ramen along the way, and overall the adventure was worth it. 10/10 would let my curiosity take up my weekend again #hydronautbestwatch

Enjoyed this video. You got my favorite food, ramen, adding a warm, inviting, homy vibe to the viewing experience. The outcome was unfortunate. Kudos for deciding to keep the original dial. Austin Daniels is awesome. I’ve watched him for years. Wise chap.
Keep us posted on this watch. Good luck with your Tudor. Thx for the vid

I want the Red Bull edition FXD sooooo bad! I can’t find one to save my life and you just gloss over it in the showcase.

Is it fair to say the Hydronaut is Tudor's Yacht-Master?

i just bought a hydronaut 89190. It came on a rubber strap, I was wondering if you know of any aftermarket bracelets that would be compatible? the OEM bracelets are crazy expensive.

I think there are some aftermarkets on ebay!

How are they able to swap a dial? Are they still in production even though the watch itself is discontiued or do they have a warehouse of parts?

My theory is they have a stockpile of NOS dials to replace damaged dials when a watch comes in for service. These newer watches rarely have damaged dials, so they probably still have a stockpile of them in their reserves.

My idea: Remove the current dial before the service to have both dials.
Just like with the bracelet from your Tudor chronograph.

Interesting idea... I wonder if they will service a watch without a dial

We need a hacker to get into that parts site lol

Why don't you just buy the dial and have an independent watchmaker swap the dial?

Dial swapping aside, I was mainly motivated by my curiosity of how Tudor/RSC operated in Canada. I'm happy with my current dial!
