A slowed down and reverbed version of The Smiths'' 'Suffer Little Children' from their 1984 self-titled album.
Feel free to write any requests for slowed + reverbed songs in the comments section below.
All rights and writing credits belong to the artist and visual/filmmakers, I just slow them down and add reverb to them for fun! - Hudba
The first and arguably the best Smiths song , never once played live I don’t think? I heard it was out of respect to the family’s / victims of the moors murders.
Yeah, I don’t think it was ever played live - a great Shane!
That’s right, the instrumental elements of the song I think really match well to the haunting/disturbing subject matter
I’m not sure about this but apparently yeah when the song first came out, the families weren’t the best pleased with the song as they thought they were like mocking it. This then gave the album a bad reputation making it band in several record shops. They played this song once live in 1982 annoyingly no video of it. But yeah I think like you said out of respect they stoped playing it. Such an amazing song tho, I also think it’s the best.
@@phantomface6783 One of John Kilbride's relatives heard it on a pub jukebox and was reportedly fairly upset. I know that Ann West, Lesley Ann Downey's mother, became friendly with Moz. She is thanked, along with her husband, on the Meat is Murder album. The Smiths played it live during their first ever live gig at The Ritz in Manchester. Dale Hibbert was on bass, Andy had not yet been hired.
It was played once at their first gig but no recording of the concert has ever surfaced.
@@busterthebear6756 We have a decent idea of what Suffer would have sounded like live during that first gig. There’s the Decibelle studios demo from 82 made several weeks before the gig to prepare. Si Wolstencroft from the Fall is drumming on it!
Oh I like this. Chills down my spine.
This is what it would sound like if Type O Negative ever covered it
thank you!
Sounds like something striaght from Down Colorful Hill by Red House Painters. Amazing
Sounds somewhat like medicine bottle mixed with katy song.
It would be dope if you did I wont share you by the smiths
