- A report from the office of the Public Protector has found that the appropriate procurement and supply process was never followed during the construction of the Mayibuye Primary School in Gauteng. The investigation came after a complaint by BOSA leader, Mmusi Maimane in 2020, alleging that the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development constructed the school on an old sewer line and without conducting a wetland study. Aldrin Sampear speaks to Public protector Advocate Kholeka Gcaleka on these findings.

This is interesting. Usually the PP responds to a complaint and its the AG who through the audit report flags these issues. So lm just wondering what gave the PP jurisdiction here and whether the AG had already dealt with this matter or not. Otherwise this could be an overreach by the PP or its just the usual political hatchet 🪓 Its dangerous to protect a President who is a criminal and hope to survive when he starts purging those that are in his way.
