    a good point to note is that the Cantu has glycerin and the Kinky Curly Custard doesn't.

      @@crystamarie4513 when you use hair products with glycerin in the winter, it causes all the moisture in your hair to evaporate. I have this issue in the winter. My hair will look great right after diffusing and then the minute I step outside my curls would fall and just look stringy. So I have to keep an eye out for glycerin.

    I started watching curly girl videos because my daughter is mixed. But have found out so much about my 2a or 2b hair as well. Watching you I realize what my hair could look like. My waves look like yours right out of the shower. But of course your end results are completely different. Time for me to get on the curly girl train!!!

    I love using a good leave in as a styler. On my "No Product" days, I like to use that in place of creams and gels because it gives me nice loose curls, but also moisturizes my hair. I'll def have to look into the Curls the next time I'm at the market.

    I've been using kinky-curly custard and cantu custard and i have similar hair texture as yours. Moreover, i also use cantu curl activator cream(and I love it). Kinky-curly made my hair straighter at the end of the day and the drying time of kinky is way longer. They are both super moisturising and the canty is cheaper,so I definitely prefer cantu to this one

    Kinky Curly is cruelty free bunny certified, I really like it. I have not tried Cantu and I won't b/c it has never shown up on the cruelty free list. Also, if it has a stronger scent than the kinky curly I would not be able to stand it! The kinky curly smells sweet to me, but does smell a bit strong! Sure wish my waves and curls would turn out as voluminous as yours!!

    I just subscribed, I'm loving your channel & can't wait to see what else you film for us! I have super long curls and what I have trouble with is the front part of my hair. So if maybe next time when you do another video when you're styling you could show us how you style the front bc that's a part that you usually skip over. I want to be able to part it to the side & it look cute but the front always comes out looking weird so I wear my hair half up & half down a lot bc of that. Also you mentioned in one of your videos that you use the clips at the root to help with volume sometimes, that would be great it you could show us how you do that as well! :)

    Looking good! My hair has natural soft curly waves. My issue is that I dislike the sense of wet hair and waiting for a natural air dry. I find my self always blow drying my hair with heat tools or when I decide to wear my curls always have to use a diffuser to dry it completely so I don’t feel the wetness. It’s probably the reason I’m constantly alternating between straight and curly style. With your review I’m pumped to use my kinky curly gel again! 😊

    Kinky Curly smells like lemon curd!
    i actually don't use a leave in, i just don't fully rinse out the conditioner when i wash it. the Cantu product (in my opinion) is mostly forms of oils which weigh down your hair, and why it's a lot cheaper.
    Don't put that oil when breaking the cast, if you're looking to get more volume, just scrunch the cast and you'll get super amounts of volume all on it's own.
    I also have colour treated hair and kinky curly leaves my hair super shiny

I've been wanting to go lighter but I hadn't seen any curly girls talk about coloring their hair. I was wondering if you could tell me what shades/tones you go for and if you happen to know of that brand your colorist uses? Or any other information you think is useful! • @terris.2313
      @terris.2313 Před 4 lety

      Another suggestion for diffusing hair so as not to get so much frizz is the "hover" technique. With head over ,place the diffuser over your hair near the roots while Not touching hair with hands or diffuser. Turn head to the side and hover over. Keep doing this hovering technique over roots and mid length while not going near the ends of hair until you feel abit of crunch then you can start touching hair with diffuser to give some volume.
