I'm just getting into bluegrass and your lesson helped me a lot thank y
Hey Andy, I was trying to keep up playing along with the Billy Stings stream last night when he played at Nassau and the right-hand technique was the whole issue for me. It got me searching for vids on technique and there you are! So happy to see this. Thank you Andy for doing these lessons. This is great:) Stay well!
Dude, that is the most concise, and helpful BG rhythm lesson on the web. Andy, thanks man.
Awesome lesson thanks so much
Clear. Concise. Foundational. Much appreciated!
Great breakdown.
thanks Andy for a great intro to Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar.
Yee haw! Very nicely done! Clear explanations, good pace, excellent sound.
Yeah! Now I've learned something. Thanks man

Exceptional, smart lesson..Thank you
Good lesson and explained excellently. Well done.
Andy thank you so much for this. I went slowly and worked the tempo up until I was actually boom chucka-ing. Still only on step 2 but confident I will get there. Thanks again!
this helped me more than all the other videos that just assume that ou know which notes to hit or mute on the strum. thanks mate
I love this 3-stage approach. Instant sub ❤
Great lesson! Thanks for this!
great lesson lots of finesse in good bluegrass rhythm guitar playing. I think this will really help a lot of people

Lol, Andy's the best. This should be the first video any BG inspired player checks out.
Awesome. Thx a lot !
Thank you so much, I love that you explain things slowly. I've always wanted to play bluegrass, and now I believe I just may be able to!
There's actually a tiny bit more to playing bluegrass than just this....😅
Cool thank you!
Great lesson, Andy. Thanks. Are there any others? I subscribed but don’t see any other lessons.
And then , at 7:15 the magic kicks in. Amazing!
👍👍
It's funny how the pro teachers have you put your thumb on the back of the neck while all the major rock and country stars wrap their thumb around the neck.
Thanks for the breakdown of the Bluegrass rhythm guitar. Appreciate the help, step by step! Can you post . How to play a G run .
Still waiting?😂😂
What would be the authentic way to play a bluegrass waltz based on this method ?
this is awesome. do you have any lessons on adding even more rhythm patterns/variations to this foundation?
Andy, do you have a couple good metronome drills that we could use to build our timing with this strumming pattern? Thx!
Step one: turn on metronome
Step two: play along.
Got it?
It’s… it’s almost like you’re completely ignorant of all the things you can do with a metronome.
Great lesson. Not an easy strum
When he picks up the tempo is he adding an upstroke after the first downbeat or am I tripping? And he said.this was easy? 😵
HAAA IM NOT TRIPPING. I Slowed it down to 1/4 speed and at the 9 minute marker he is most definitely using an upstroke in between the 1-5 bass line. So.down up strum down up strum.
