    Thank you so much for the great great and thorough review. I am probably getting a teardrop within the next 4 months. So sorry to hear of your loss. I cannot imagine such pain. I myself had a dark period recently (a few years ago) of years of my son's drug addiction and related incarceration, am not at all trying to compare the two, just to say that, my hope for my purchase is that it helps me continue to recover from mine. Your review gives me great hope that it will, as well as absolutely caused me to settle on this same model (I originally was looking at the Bushwhackers, but to me the lower cost is just not worth the much poorer quality that they have). Will watch your other videos and subscribe. Thanks again.

      @Live2dayWanderland  Před rokem +1

      Bless you and thank you, we love getting messages like this. I am certain the teardrop will and getting out there will help you. I do think the bushwackers are ok but likely less quality and you may encounter more issues. We have not released an updated review yet but we are well into our 3rd year now on the T@G and still completely satisfied. Feel free to reach out to us on our Facebook page or Instagram, maybe one day we can cross paths in travels.

    We got 20 mpg towing our home build, both with a GMC SUV and a FORD F150 over 6 years. Moving up to the 22 foot trailer at the end of last year MPG dropped to 10 - 12 just as gas prices doubled. Tear drops have a lot going for them. We never needed A/C, our Fantastic Fan worked beautifully off a battery. Only had one weekend that was unbearable in all those years thanks to the insulation factor hubby used.

    We also have a teardrop camper. It's even smaller than the one you got but yes, it's nice to keep the camper stocked so it's easy to take off on trips. We bought a Rustic Trail Teardrop camper and you're right that we had to wait a year before we were able to pick it up. I don't think there's a wait anymore, though. Those Nucamp campers do look like nice quality. Yes, having the fan going, even on low, makes such a difference. We also like to keep our windows cracked so that we won't have issues with condensation. Nice camper tour. Subbed so we can watch more of your adventures.

  • @RH-lz3om
    @RH-lz3om Před rokem +2

    We checked-out a new XL today. A couple of observations. The fenders were super light weight and already bent with cracks at the turns. This would be caused by too much weight being put on them, even on the showroom. (Crazy!) The floor of the galley slopes back into the trailer so any rain or spills that happen in that area will move forward to drain toward the cooler area and could pool and do damage if undetected. That would need some added care. Also noted that the A/C exhausts/vents out through the bottom of the unit. That leaves me wondering if that is some kind ingress for water if driving in heavy rain. These observations aside, we really liked the teardrop. Would be interested to know your thoughts on the comments. Thanks!

    • @Live2dayWanderland
      @Live2dayWanderland  Před rokem +1

      So yes the fenders are not made for any sort of weight on them, they have built in creases, not sure its actually a crack, just lets the metal flex a little. We do stack stuff on them at camp and no issues, you cannot stand on them though. Yes the galley floor does slope back but we have never had issues with water or liquids pooling etc. Rain does not get in there when closed. Yes the A/C does exhaust on bottom. Never had an issue with ours, we have driven it through everything possible as you know we are camping year round now and just finished another 5000 mile trip. I can say one thing, all I see is people with significant issues with big RV's of all brands even brand new. It has made me rethink ever going to another company or bigger one. If we ever did upgrade it would likely be with Nucamp. They really do build quality stuff. Check out the Nucamp FB groups if you get a chance, lots of satisfied owners

    I live in Utah. Any of the straight axle leaf spring or torsion units are not good if you go out dirt roads anywhere in the Rocky Mountains or southern Utah. Don't buy any travel trailer that does not have independent suspicion unless you are going to stay on paved roads or very smooth dirt. Don't get focused on how cute the trailer is. Durability, a quality suspension is the only issue that is important.
