Just watching this i find amazing!!!!!!! you filmed this just after another person filmed the first part. I live in the uk and this is a hot air balloonists worst nightmare!!!!! I just hope all in the basket were ok. This is an amazing and truley very rare footage i have ever seen of a hot air balloon in a thunder storm. I wish you all the best and thankyou for putting this on youtube.If any pilot was in doubt about flying in or around a thunder storm this proves to all pilots there worst fears. Well done and thankyou for sharing this,it will shock many pilots in a positive way to be alert of thunderstorms.

In such a situation you do not have full control over the ballon, he was lucky to bring it down like that. Probably he will study the meto better next time.
Either that storm popped up out of nowhere, or the pilot thought he could get a quick flight in before the weather got bad. Or just ignored the forecast completely.
I'm glad the guy got down alright, good bit of survival flying there. He should however lose his license for making the decision to fly in the first place.

shaolin dynasty he most likely launched in good weather and then the storm caught up to him as you would not be able to inflate a balloon in that wind

Any pilot that would even attempt a flight in these conditions needs to have his license revoked! Completely irresponsible!
