Afrikaans grammar/voc are easy if you are a Dutch speaker, but accurate pronunciation is another story!

According to Wiktionary, "onderwerp" is a calque from Latin "subiectum". It is interesting how different are grammar terms in Afrikaans. I am arguing this because I have the Ponelis´ book Afrikaans Sintaksis. I almost can´t understand anything because all grammar terms come from Dutch. The only Germanic language I speak is English and this language uses Latin and Greek words like "subject", "pronoun", "verb", "object", "grammar" and so on. Nice video! 😀
