    When I started studying and practicing kyusho, I did it thinking about better understanding karate-do, to see a little beyond what is seen and I am not mistaken, but there is an important detail, this would not happen without the incredible work of the Sensei Evan Pantazi, kyusho opens the doors for the understanding of the katas, in this case the one of SHOTOKAN, but as the sensei Steven Linch of Goju Ryu said at this level of study the styles do not matter.

      Any style with Kata or not, but especially to decipher Kata.

      You started studying kyusho but a boxer can beat all the karate wizards .If you don't know boxing it is pointless .

      As I read your comment I can envision my Sifu taking the class through the class form (Kata) and calling out the targets and the particular weapon (ridge hand, one knuckle punch, open hand strike, etc.)
      I love Evan Pantazi's work!!

    At this level of study, styles are irrelevant. This is probably why so many of us, from so many different styles get along so well when we attend these Kyusho International functions. We, regardless of style, are doing the same thing. Example, this video is about a Shotokan kata. I connect this explanation ( the double punch) to the Goju-ryu kata Saifa. Goju guys, do you see the fists positioned at a 45 degree angle? Another outstanding share Pantazi sensei. Thank you.

      Yes Sir, Kyusho is universal, thanks for the input.

      A GOOD BOXER can beat all those moves and all the karate wizards . OF COURSE THAT STYLES ARE IRRELEVANT . Only boxing is relevant .

    And when the other party is dancing around at long range, jabbing? how about when he is big and strong and doesn't want you to grab his neck with two hands and socks you in the stomach. Hung gar is much more practical, really. Crane by itself is more for defense, hey,self defense, right? I liked the video though.

      Glad you liked it, no style or person is best, everything is situationally dependent.

    Hangetsu is the bastardization of seisan. Its really watered down. I dont mean to sound offensive.

    • @EvanPantazi
      @EvanPantazi  Před 3 lety +2

      It is all watered down without Kyusho involved, which they stripped out in the early 1900's for the masses.
