For anyone needing this on windows 11, the registry path is Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\Microsoft Print to PDF And confirmed it still works, thank you! :D
This works. Don't know how someone discovered this, but it is actually very useful! Should be default able to add a custom size to Print to PDF in Windows...
For those who are saying it doesn't work, what I found helpful was slightly increase the dimensions of my page by 0.1cm and this caused it to be recognized
I was unable to get this working myself. We require a pdf that is 72 inches in width. I went through this video several times and our defined size does not show up as an option when printing.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work on my Windows PC. So ridiculous Microsoft Print to PDF doesn't accommodate custom paper sizes and makes everything more difficult. Luckily, I have a Mac -- printing to PDF on a Mac is a breeze!
This is too much of a pita. Why isn’t it built into the GUI to add your own custom size based on pixels or inches? Adobe has this but when you go to print as pdf it paywalls you demanding $15 for the month with a minimum of a year contract.
The info in this video did not work for me, but there is an easier way. Go to Devices and Printers in the control panel, select the printer Microsoft Print to PDF, click Print Server Properties on the ribbon menu, tick Create a new form, give it a name and enter the dimensions you want, then click Save Form. Now when you print something, select Microsoft Print to PDF as the printer, click Preferences, then Advanced and you should see your new page size in the pulldown menu. Update . . . So I looked into this further, turns out I have an older version of Microsoft Print to PDF that I never updated. I guess it's just another instance of software updates that remove key features so you buy the latest and greatest alternate software options. I was not able to recreate this on my newer laptop, proving my theory. I had to install an alternate PDF printer/driver and remove Microsoft Print to PDF from my laptop altogether.

Where is the text you mentioned in the video?
Where is the info to be copy and pasted into the form?
The file on my Windows 10 PC does not have the lines you blocked and copied.

Good morning. That does not work. The size option does appear for Microsoft XPS Document Writer, but not the Microsoft Print To PDF.
how on earth do you get it to work in your microsoft print to pdf is beyond me.
@@makavelidadon7487 It worked for me.
@@tomdong455 I can't explain why, but that's how I was able to make it work for me.
Mine Microsoft Print to PDF doesn't give that option.
