After the batteries are equalized, did the device on phone show any closer readings? Thinking maybe it reads better @ no load.

NO, Still not accurate
My batteries voltage (with no load) right now : ~12.94V (X4)
But it reading 13.04 // 12.90 // 12.99 // 13.02

Ignoring the inaccuracy of the BT display, has this balancer served its purpose without issues such as getting very hot? It still does a good job balancing your batteries?

Yes, it works well, sometimes getting warm but not too hot.

NO, you don't need anything, this is for series connection only.

Sorry, i don't know. they usually used for 6V and 12V batteries. maybe you should contact with sellers on AliExpress.
