Sweet bench, respect your attention to detail as well, always appreciate a carpenter who cares. Nice job
Glen, thanks for another awesome how-to video! Love how talented you are at creating so many different things with such nice details. Keep up the good work and God bless you.
Very professional. No cutting corners
This is really cool. Really had never considered using concrete like this. Thanks as always - one of my fav channels.
I've got an organic chemistry exam tomorrow and here I am watching a video on how to make a fucking bench
good luck!
NightFury how did it go? Was there a question about building a bench?

...the poor bastard fell asleep..
That's a great idea! Beautiful and elegant design.
Thanks, Bobby!
the magic eraser and the reciprocal saw is genius.
He made it look easy....I'm going to give it a shot....will give it to the local school.
NIce Build Glen! I am still reluctant to jump into the concrete build arena, but some of the builds people are doing sure make it tempting. Including this one.
Thanks, Chad! Concrete is inexpensive if you screw it up just start over. Just jump in.
Man the firk up Chad.

Very nice design, i love how simple it looks.
Great video and a well done project by a well spoken young man.
My father was a carpenter. Miss him
Once again you knock it out of the park! Great job Glen! Love seeing what you come up with! Also can't wait for you to hit one million subs!
Seems like you've really ramped up your production. Loved the look and feel of this video. Excited to see where your channel goes from here.
I still have the same gear and camera I just learned a few more tips & tricks :). I am excited as well I have no clue, just hope to be ready.
I really really like Glen. A clean view, minimalist and simple. Send it to UK!!
Thank you :) Much appreciated!
I love the simplicity and modern material like wood and concrete , amazing work
Dude, using your reciprocating saw as a concrete vibrator is brilliant
It actually worked out well! Had I used it longer, it would have even better results.
hell yeah taking that to the shop tomorrow
@@chollyappleseed1969 What is the alternative is you want a bench exactly like that?
You are a perfectionist, which is great, cause it make you a hell of professional. I’m glad I found you channel. Very good job buddy, definitely keep it up!
If your are looking a different & special design for your garden, please take a look for this! amzn.to/3favQ97
Honestly I am not that into your style but I hand it to you for being very detailed. You seem like a great teacher. Good job bro. I’ll keep watchin’
Excellent video and skills, just the right pace and no gratuitous close ups of cutting in slow mo etc., really enjoying your work
Wow, love the look of the bench, the contrast between the pine and concreate is on point. Great build Glen. Thanks pal.👊👊
You, sir, create the best looking projects. Always superb looking and pretty easy to build! Keep 'em comin'!
Thank you :).
Excellent job mate...thanks for the upload...keep em comin.
Beautiful bench ... The contrast between wood and concrete is one of my favorites.
you are the king of creativity . thanks from Iraq
Thank you. :)
Great Video! I have several years experience as a commercial carpenter and have built many forms in my life. I would like to suggest that you use some spray cooking oil on your forms to keep the concrete from sticking.
Thank you. I actually used mold remover. I noticed oil usually stain the concrete in my experience.
Nice video. You can also use paste wax for a form release with melamine.
The voice behind the videos! Your voice is great.
Thank you. :)
Where are you from? Virginia? Carolinas?
I believe he said Florida.
From Jamaica but I live in Florida.
The quality of your videos and the work you put into all these is top notch...
Very good-looking bench, and I love that you made it knock-down-able to move easier. I think your videos are great.
You the man Glen, subbed.
Nice job on the video as well as the project, thumbs up!
Thank you .
I love your videos. Sharp, concise, well filmed, and complete.
I've watched a lot of your videos. You really have a great eye for design. Thanks for your postings.

Bacana!
Gostei muito!

You make it look easy, Glen.
That bench is beautiful. Love the idea of concrete and wood.
I just need tools. I believe with this tutorial I can Pull this off.
Excellent
Love your work and cleanliness!!! 🙏❤️☮️
One could never watch without finding themselves compiled to compliment on such creation..
Well done and nice video showing it!
Brilliant Job, well done ☠️👍🎸☠️
Te sigo y todos tus videos son geniales

another excellent build. Good job Glenn. Let us know about the Wranglers. Glad folks are noticing you. Would love to support them.
This guy is awesome! Thanks for all the work you put in to create these videos.
Nice video as always. A very creative guy. Keep it up bro!!
Thank you.
LOL I didn't forget the Led's I just didn't like the look so I nixed it. :)
DIY Creators can you restore a kitchen table
Hey Wyatt, I feel so bad I haven't been able to grant your request yet. You have been asking for almost a year now. I haven't forgotten. The problem is I work a full-time job still so my time is limited and I would have to go looking for one somewhere.
DIY Creators 厉害了
Sweet. Nice design. I made a plant-rack for my back window last year.
Gotta get back into it.
Very nice. The wood and concrete are a great combination, especially for the outdoors. The spacing between the top pieces makes it look like they're floating, which is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you. I'm digging the look with the blend.
My boss found your channel and now im making all the furniture in his house....
Nice Video💪
Thanks!
super sweet. You are incredibly organized and patient.
Good job on the bench! Also it’s awesome that you use your personal protective equipment and show it in your videos!
Fun fact: you can buy pigment for concrete to make fun & exciting colors!
Is it just me or are those drywall screws lol
That cool
Thanks!
Nice build, and I like the idea of using the reciprocating saw to vibrate out the air - more aggressive than the palm sander that I have used.
Nice, love the concrete ends. I've been wanting a concrete bench for a while but had thought I'd make the top from concrete as well. I think I like the contrast between the concrete and wood better, nice project
It's hurricane proof.
I think so lol
Awesome please make a wardobe with storsge
Thank you, got on my to do list.
DIY Creators,
Be sure to make it out of concrete and wood as well! 😉
Absolutely Gorgeous bench. Brilliantly done, how creative.
Simple but attractive. Great project, and thanks for sharing your project.
love u glen
:D
/ I love your Pic. Spy vs spy is awesome!
haha thanks neato :) oldschool. i bet you're no younger than 22 years old if that young
HOLD UP, you live in Florida and it doesn't rain much? Are you talking about the same Florida that's a part of the United States? Because where I live in South Florida it rains more than not. Bench looks amazing though! Really love the look of concrete and wood complementing each-other.
Kyle Anderson yeah. I was trippin off that one...
I had a hard giggle myself...
Kyle Anderson depends on the season man. You know after November, it easy's up a bit until March. Trying to give my man Glen a break here...lol. But you guys are right, it rains just about everyday especially during hurricane season. I live by universal studios and from like, 3 to 6, it comes down man.
Orlando, where I lived, is guaranteed a frog-strangling cloudburst every day from May-June thru September-October. They usually last for about 20 to 30 minutes and then they're over.
The way you make a design that is so sleek and simple still unique and beautiful is amazing...I find most modern designers a bit boring and predictable, too much like ikea, but yours always have something interesting and cool that makes them look like they came from a store I'd be too poor to window shop in!
Hi Glen! The bench looks good.I made a similar one and had various colours of glass in the concrete mix. These were then ground and polished with diamond discs. Cheers, Rob
It looks like you used latex caulk? The significant chip out you got at the edges is likely a result of this. Concrete will stick to latex caulk. You need to be using 100% silicon if you want clean edges. Nice looking bench either way.
Ah, got it thanks for the tip. It didn't occur to me at all :). Thank you.
I did the same thing on my first concrete table top, and learned the hard way :)
I know now. So next week video will have to caulk as well, did them the same time. So don't think i'm hard hear when you see me using caulking in the video. lol
Ha, I hear ya on the video lag. I have two videos in production for builds that were finished months ago....
I just sub your channel. I was looking to do a light similar to one on your channel sure I could learn a thing or two. I'll check it out later!

Simple plans but beautifully executed. Excellent video so I’m subscribing to see more. Cheers for sharing from UK
Very aesthetically pleasing! Although I really hope no one bangs their toes against the concrete!
You have some great ideas. Also, very cool to see a male minority doing his thing. Much respect.
You are so stupid. Who cares that the dude is black. Why even bring it up? He is a man and he created an awesome project with an excellent video.
Dude what the hell do you think 'minorities' do all day? We have hobbies - just like everyone else!
2019 hes still looking for the perfect spot in his back yard lol
Glen, that was one beautiful bench! So modern and built like a tank. I liked your tip about using a Sawzall Recip Saw for vibration. I would never have thought of it, and did not know you had to vibrate the concrete. I've never worked with concrete but this got me interested. Thank you for a very good demo!
Oh Sir I LOVE YOUR BENCH!!!!!!😂😂 You are so Talented .😊😊
Two identical Boxes? You can use one Box twice...
Lol so a two week wait?
It's safer to make two, because concrete is finicky and as you saw, he had to destroy parts of the mold.. then trying to put it back together and just replace those parts can result in a wonky crooked second cast, because no matter how good you try to seal it, the melamine will absorb water in the middle particle layer and warp a bit. If you look at nearly any concrete mold after being used it looks a bit beat up and crooked.
So there is a good reason to make two, especially considering how cheap melamine is and you can usually get multiple molds out of a single large sheet. There is just no real reason not to make two, you get safer, better results, save time, and it probably wont cost anything extra in time or money if you build them concurrently.
So yeah... two boxes.
Best case scenario with one box, is you have to wait twice as long, which is a big deal when you're considering dealing with time spans of days or weeks.. that's time and space you can't use. Also, leaving concrete around for that long risks accidentally ruining it, bumping, dropping something on it, animals... etc. Better to get them done as fast as possible, limit the amount of time you have wet concrete around. Also, with only one box, if something does happen, you have to start entirely over again, and have nothing to show.. with two, likely only one will have a problem and you can fix it and move on.. not have to start over, wait a week, make another batch, wait another week.. by then you're a month deep before you see any results. It can be very mentally taxing for a maker to have a catastrophic failure like that, at least with something to show it keeps you in the game, and keeps you mentally strong and motivated to continue and less likely to give up after wasting a week or more of your time and seeing nothing.
So there are a multitude of reasons to do two or more molds at once and not try to reuse them. It isn't always about pinching pennies or saving a bit of material.
@@AJ-ew7kr depends on the cement you use. Also if done properly you can take it out of the mold to finish curing while starting the next.
If it were me I'd figure out how to build a mold that is coated mold release and the pieces are on tracks that when clamped only requires new silicone. Now this might not work, but let's be honest, your friends and family will want one.
That bench is so clean! Solid.. great work!!!
MAN YOUR VIDEOS ARE ALWAYS INSPIRING THANKS AGAIN .
Extremely innovative! Use of concrete was simply brilliant!
Turned out beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
Would love to see you build a backyard man-cave. Everything you make inspires me to build stuff. Almost finished building my floating shelf using your vid as a reference. Keep up the good work my friend!!!
Nice build. You always come up with very clean looking modern projects. I look forward to more of your back yard builds.
Awesome! A beautiful bench fit for any yard, and you were so methodical and explicit on what your plans for it were when building it. I loved the simplistic style of the bench, yet it was sturdy and pleasing to the eye. Thank you for sharing this, and the wonderful talent you have for putting it all together with an astonishing degree of ease, as if you have made a hundred benches. I'm gonna be showing this video to my uncle, and er... twisting his arm a little. I could do with a new bench in my yard. :)
Your video quality/production value has gotten so much better!
Now I know what kind of bench going to fit in my garden. Thanks man!
Awesome man... Everything I've seen you do thusfar have been amazing.
Thanks for what you do!
Great job, Glenn. I always enjoy watching you create your magic.
Thank you. :D much appreciated!
You have great vision. Thanks you for sharing your talents and ideas
I like it. And your video, quick, straight to the point. I'll be making this bench for sure.
A pretty solid project you got there! It is so satisfying to watch you work and explain the process. Stay CREATIVE!
Thanks, Jorge! This is what keeps me motivated.
Sir, I have been watching your videos... You are the best presenter on CZcams.... You should bring your talents to TV or professional training videos. Good Luck in the future....
That's a good looking garden bench, very modern. Thanx !!
Really beautiful bench, thank you for sharing
I am a faithful follower of your work I love your ideas I say that you are one of the best I congratulate you
Nice addition to the backyard. I would recommend tying your rebar then placing rebar chair/stands that center the rebar in your concrete. Very solid looking piece. Glad I found your channel.
Loved the benches. I'm going to do some benches for my back yard and been looking at various ones.
Your a good carpenter bro. Keep up the good work.
You do great work! Simple and strong design and visually excellent!!
Well done video and great bench! You have inspired me to try a similar solution with some existing concrete legs whose upper bench has come apart. Thanks for posting!
nice design. Simple and elegant!
great video. for me it's very helpful to see a proper demonstration on how to build concrete forms. This can be useful for lots of projects. Thank you
Great vid. Very thorough job on the instructions, and use of time lapse. Clean shop and nice to see the type of tools used in step of the process. I'd love to have a ball park cost on this project.
Nicely done! I'm gonna have to remember this for my backyard.
