Great content and information, definitely deserves more attention. Also I know you said, that it must require those certain codes active at the same time for me to consider yanking the engine out. I have a m272 engine with the codes P0012, P0015, P0025. I’d really love to keep the vehicle, but if worst comes to worst i’ll have to sell it. Any ideas what should be my next steps?

If you want to go straight to the point, remove the cam sensors and turn your engine to 305 degrees on the harmonic balancer and see if your timing is good. This engine is plagued with timing issues so I would check that first before I do anything major. It may not even be that serious. I know they even had "recalls" with the camshaft adjusting solenoids.
