- aha... so... i literally remember editing that beginning scene..... so i have no idea how it got left out of the last video...... ;;;;;; but huge thanks to greiger for catching that!!
so this contains... a missed scene, the alternate chapter 2 ending, some bonus content, and highlights of the 'alice lives' route! also i give my thoughts on many things in this video. it's maybe half new content, half 'kae analyzes the game so far'. :p
and as it says at the end! we won't have the next chapter for a while, so i'd like to hear if there's anything y'all would want me to play!! for a video, i mean, ofc. i'm not sure what i'll be able to do but i'll definitely let you know!

In the Japanese version every time keiji calls Sara cute he says the word Kawaii which is more like how you would call a young child cute so I don’t think nankidai intends to make keisara romantic, just a close friendship

Buying personal info is one of very subtle ways to hint the big twist at the end of 2nd debate: you can buy Nao's info but it doesnt come as AI but as quickly, rushed assembled documents.
And yeah, alice's route is rather gloomy. Maybe because he lacked the closure with Reko that she had, the ability to settle things between them. He's constantly sure he should be one to die for her, feeling guilt for murder he commited and belittling himself to her.

Isn't it awesome how much better can you imagine what character is like by imagining their scent? You can put on faces and module voice but nothing gives a more complete image than smell. Somewhat explains why Gin is so rarely wrong about people's hearts.
The idea of keiji 'flirting' to be way of easing the mood and his role being more of a support to sara is a valid one. Personally i think he uses it to distract people and knock them off topic which he doesnt want to continue...
It seems nankidai likes to joke around them as a weird knockoff ship, never serious as purebred romo, but really deep in mutual concern. In the talk about what to do in future you can also see him hinting Sara as 'reason to continue living' but the context of 'as what' is out of range.
And finally, Keiji's arms - m o o d. I think we usually connect "buff" with guys that are like this for showing off. Whereas Keiji's more between lines of someone you can feel safe near (or precisely: WANT to feel safe near). That's why you don't admire these arms, you want them around you.
It only just hit me that why Sou mentions Floor Masters as ones he gave up believing in alongside Sara is because throughout the chapter, he has been lampshading that he was thinking if Gashu (and Safalin) were underhandedly trying to help them out.
It sounds crazy until you remember that Gashu shot Ranger, who's head had the chip that can neutralize the security, the fake Mishima AI appears and asks for the laptop and the chip saying it's for the escape, Safalin both gives the chip and says that they would need to use it in Gashu's secret room for it to work, there is a copy of the Floor Master's Rulebook in the room they can use the security and while Gashu comments when they are trying to catch up with Nao after she "stole the PC and the chip", he backs down pretty quickly and lets them go.
He is also Kai's father, who he was wrong about being bad and shady as he was trying to protect Sara and was a traitor to the organization and even got angry on Mishima's behalf and hit Miley on the head, then hid the PC for them to hopefully find and use later. Sou even questions why the Ranger doll would have such a chip on his head, with you being given the option to choose that maybe it's because he was supposed to be a replacement son (since Kai betrayed him) but he dismisses it, then saying it doesn't matter anyway, but it's clear that he is curious why such a danger to this entire game was so obviously under their access with Gashu himself deactivating the doll that carried it with shooting it.
Then there is suddenly a transgression of Sacrifice role oddly missing, which gets Miley pissed enough and would mean they can gain another 24 hours if they win this argument since he *clearly* would choose that than his own death since he has shown them that he has a collar that keeps him and other Floor Masters bound to this game too? With 'letting them reach and see the blown exit"? With Safalin herself also being pretty nice and accommodate so far by miles in comparison to Miley and Ranger? And just promised that he would "uphold the floor master's code regardless of whether he promises to Sara or not"?
No wonder his first comment after saying that he didn't hack the card data is "It's out there, but... Maybe in reality, Gashu's an ally. Like he wanted this [The candidate role cards/how rigged the game is] to be exposed, so he could put a stop to the Main Game... Is that... too unthinkable?" because it either points to that they were trying to crush their spirits fully by showing them a false hope, or the more optimistic possibility was that they were underhandedly helping them especially since their own lives were on the line/linked to this game too.
You also see something similar with Qtaro asking why Safalin is continuing on with the executions when you vote for Kanna, where she says she was always their enemy and starts the execution anyway. As much as it was Shin taking the chance to trust Sara and other participants when he revealed who he was and what he knew, it was also that remaining naive side of him that wanted to trust people poking through (especially with again, how he was completely wrong with Kai before, and this is his father, despite Kai himself seemingly thinking he was loyal to this game, maybe he was an infiltrator who kept that secret from his son too...) before Gashu shoots himself, Sara votes for Kanna with tricking Gin into doing the same and Keiji voting for her after spending the trial saying that they are not enemies while he was pretty much begging for them to vote for him than Kanna because he couldn't take basically causing her to die both with how he pushed others to have her as a choice throughout the Main Game bc he thought she had the Sacrifice and also because she claimed she took it both to protect Sara *and* to not make him a murderer, then Safalin executes both Nao and Kanna anyway?
Yeah, no wonder he goes off the deep end at that point, and that he mentions he is done with every single person in this game. He had risked trusting them, and look where that got him.

here's my thoughts on both routes leading to chapter 3, just wanna share hehe:
Well, it is totally understandable why he snapped at sara cuz he already was on edge, wanting to save kanna, but sara voted kanna off so he is pissed as heck (like, i would be pissed off as well tbh since that's the only person who would trust me while others doubt so yeah)
Plus, Kanna did say that if we vote for her, we should trust sou, right? I mean, Sou is literally having a hard time having kanna die and midori being there (in the third chapter). I feel like it might be important..?? Maybe it will snap sou back and makes him think back that it was not sara's fault, but the kidnappers, but this is just speculations tho.. :')
in addition, if the joe-ko enoshima is actually true or joe really is the bad guy or something like that (accomplice maybe?), it would be better for sara to forget, right? If we choose kanna to survive, we surpass Red Joe, but Joe-ko Enoshima appears, and it could break sara into pieces. Because of this, it makes me think that just because we ended up badly cuz sou lives, doesnt mean the end is gonna be as bad as it is, same as to kanna's route. But who knows, right? I cant wait for the next release already im too excited XD
I’m playing the game with a friend now and he jumped us to 110 hallucination level. Still vibing, havent died to that yet.

...not sure why you’re so stuck on the “bad end” mentality. i mean, of course you’re gonna favor one route over another- i know i do- but even with a grim as the ending is for killing kanna, i don’t think there’s a “wrong” choice to make. same thing for the alice vs. reko decision. the rest of the ending is much darker, sure, but that doesn’t make it wrong. plus i’m VERY interested to see what sou will be like in chapter 3 if he survives. i think all four of the major branches so far have pros and cons in terms of being narratively satisfying but i appreciate that they’re there, and am excited to see how the choices affect chapter 3. regardless though ive ADORED your playthrough, interested to see what you do next
Thank you for saying this; the mentality of saving Sou=Sara forgetting Joe=Immediate Bad End is questionable at best. We have no idea how these routes will turn out in chapter 3, so I'd say it is far, far too early to be jumping to conclusions. Considering how lighthearted and hopeful the other ending was, honestly makes me more inclined to be skeptical; as we've all learned, we can't really have good things in this game without consequences or some kind of cruel twist: example being Alice gaining the courage to reconcile with Reko, only to have her be switched out for the fake so things go horribly wrong when he offers the bongos.
I'm thinking each route will be fulfilling in their own way, and I hope that's the case--otherwise, a route split seems pretty pointless.
ahh that’s just. the way i interpreted things!! i could very well be wrong, and it’s totally fine if you disagree. to me it just felt like the one route was a ‘bad end’, or rather, an ‘alternate route’. you’re def right tho in that there will be more to this than meets the eye, so i shouldn’t let my guard down! also, i’m SO happy to hear that you enjoyed the playthrough, thank you sososo much for saying so!!!!!💕
