  • Nevstudio or NEV Studio style themselves as a techwear and streetwear retailer. Like many other 'techwear stores' they sell drop-shipped inventory which can also be found on Taobao, AliExpress, and a variety of other websites. After our less-than-ideal experience with Techwear Club, will we find anything better here?

Alpaca ponchos are where it's at! Won't get as smelly wearing it in the woods, warm for weight, will keep you warm even when it has 45% of its weight in water!
Antimicrobial, antibacterial, can be naturally harvested, renewable resource (sheep)
Also it has many energetic benefits as well! There's a study that shows linen and wool to be the healthiest textiles to wear next to your skin (opposed to rayon, nylon, polyester, cotton) just don't wear them together or they neutralize each other's wavelength, negating most healing benefits
I know it's more expensive initially ($100-300 for a QUALITY one that will last)
But you will love it bro! I think I paid 150 for mine, but I also like to pay workers when I can afford to :)
It's softer and cozier than any snuggy! You can tie a rope around the hood to close the hole, and you have a blanket!
If you build a shelter and need a door in the winter time to keep the cold breeze out you can submerge your wool blanket or poncho, then hang I over the entrance
Ice crystals form between the fibers, which means wind can't pass freely. It's like a huge wool ice sheet :)
If you want to wear it then, just shake off the ice :)
      Jus my opinion bro

Pretty hard, I'd say. A proper brand will do extensive research and prototyping to get a garment that looks good and does what it should. On top of that, sourcing proper materials and getting actual good craftsmanship means the whole process gets pretty lengthy and expensive. As such, if something looks too good online for I dunno, less than $100, it's probably too good to be true.

There's probably a factory in china that hacks together these designs in-house, they go up on alibaba for wholesale prices, then a smaller seller in china buys them from there.
That seller in china then sells it to consumers outside china with a normal markup (probably on aliexpress). So I think the best way (as in, least amount of middlemen) to buy these products would be on aliexpress.
What these dropshippers (like the "shop" in the video) do is just add another markup on top of the aliexpress seller's markup and then you get it shipped straight from china while paying the dropshipper money for essentially just forwarding your order, which I'd consider unethical.
That's why they want the "restocking fee", your return has to go back to china but they don't want you to realize that, because if you knew you'd just order on aliexpress.

i bought a coat from their shop that i fell in love with myself. they titled it as NEV Dark Wizard Cloak Double Hooded Coat on their site. marketed as a winter coat which, as a canadian i can say it is NOT a winter coat in the absolute slightest lol way too thin but i've been able to wear it in every season as long as i layer correctly and its become something i literally wear every single day, i was looking for a long coat jsut liek it for forever and it was literally exactly what i was looking for so i definitely think they have some stuff thats pretty neat at least, based off personal purchase. I did buy some pants as well that i don't really wear though cause they just feel a bit too constrictive to wear for me personally. so that does slightly bring my own score down a little haha.

I really like "techwear" joggers. I've gotten a few pairs and actually get compliments on them. If you get lucky and get the right ones they don't look too edgy but still more interesting than your average pants and I find that they some of them are quite comfortable. The weird hoodies dont really appeal to me but I have to admit I don't regret the purchases that I have made on the pants.

the pants are my favorite, they're about the only thing i buy because any simple black shirt combined with a chest rig or buckled nylon harnesses/belts/etc tie in what i try to go for. the aesthetic is absolutely closer to darkwear than techwear (and people will attack you for calling it techwear lol so just be mindful). but looking up "techwear," "darkwear," or "warcore" will help you find TONS. alihelper can help you find out which stores will scam you (not all do but some will never send anything) a couple sellers i'd recommend, ive always gotten really nice products from them:

Buy a few hundred dollars of clothing for content. (can be used as tax write-offs)
Then roll in the dough from youtube ad revenue.
Especially because of the recent covid, people are less likely to buy clothing in-person. So it is a given that online shopping would surge during the lockdowns. The main drawback of shopping for clothes online would be that you don't get to try on the clothes. It really helps the consumer make a better decision in buying clothes with a video rather than a single image of a model.
There really is a market for everything on youtube.

I'm a big guy who has literally always wanted one of those hoodies ever since I saw it in Anime years ago. I would never actually buy them because I know damn well they'd never fit me because I'm big and tall. Not to mention those websites that pretend they sell something in my size, when you look at the fabric of it, you can immediately tell that it's cheap crap that they're selling for 3-10x the price of what it's worth. I saw a jacket similar to that once online and in my "size" it was $3xx-4xx and that didn't include shipping. It was a cheap material that was super thing and just not at all worth even trying to buy. Also, screw these people who do the whole "restocking fee" crap because it's literally just their way of legally scamming people into paying them more money for an item that they don't want when they return it. Phone companies started to do this then soon everyone followed suit shortly after. Just waiting for a store to tell me that if I wish to return the bread I bought that was actually moldy that I'd need to pay a $5 restocking fee for it even thought it was $3.
