@@gyozanomics It's well known that Zerg is favored vs Protoss statistically. In fact Arty has said on many occasions that until Bisu helped figure out PvZ, it was considered even more heavily Zerg favored. Protoss is a strong race no doubt, but not necessarily in this matchup. Motive played extremely well here.

Maybe my memory's faulty, but I don't recall previous CNSL's being as exciting as these games have been. Had a great ASL season--and now a great showing from CNSL.

What if you wrote a book?, that would be sick… it could be a quasi-satirical application of the StarCraft skills into day to day life, with a little bit of autobiography thrown in… a firsthand account of the rise of e-sports from a commentators/ competitor perspective would be neat

Motive's player portrait the best for this season of CNSL, not debatable.
I wonder if the photographer gave pose advice or if this was all player flavor.
OFC, if you're gonna drone that hard, seeing only 1 sunk is a bit of a head scratcher. Seeing the 2 defenses at each nat, and all the cannons at 3rd, the use of static d made big difference for how deep each player could push, the longevity of the attack disrupting mining.
8:00 I think protoss baited zergo into attacking. This cannon was probably late on purpose to bait zerg into attack.

Can anyone explain to me why the game ends the way it does?
I’ve recently gotten into watching these matches and was wondering why these look like they end prematurely?
I was assuming the losing player can reliably tell when it’s a losing battle and they have no recourse, and don’t want to drag out matches.
After that final engagement Saber has 85 supply, and 50 of that is Drones. He lost his whole force while Motive still has 14 Dragoons and a couple of Templars on the field and more on the way. He doesn't have the bank he needs to do something to immediately prevent that army marching into his bases, so the game is over. In a position like this it would essentially be considered bad manners to drag out the game.

Why is it that stealing gas is good against terran but not against zerg?
small number of zergling can kill small number of zelot faster than marines and require less micro, also hatchery is cheaper than cc so zerg can just expand and take the natural gas

zealots are so powerful you can a-move them into a mid-tier zerg army and they still crush, you love to see it
Its absolutely crazy how easier to play protoss is. I am a sc2 player though I love BW (played it to death back then, never competitively tho just UMS stuff and campaign) and I play Terran.
SC1 Terran is so insanely hard to play it’s borderline unplayable. I tried Protoss a bit, the difference is CRAZY… no need to setup mines, siege/unsiege tanks constantly, you literally just 1a2a3a stuff around and macroing with a single probe instead of 10 different scvs stepping on each other… its wild the difference.
I know Terran has the most potential between the two, but that’s irrelevant for me lol. Im masters in sc2 and like 1800 in BW…
