Follow along with me as I demonstrate how to do Sublimation on Slate in Cricut Design Space. I am also going to demonstrate how to create a sublimation design in Canva. This project is not limited to Mother's Day as you will see once we get to Canva.

I’m just seeing your comment, but I’m so glad to read that Delonda’s video tutorial was helpful to you in designing a special slate with your late dog’s picture on it. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. As Delonda stated, that is a very tough loss. We both have experienced the loss of a family pet. They will never be forgotten.

Here I am at 3:30 A.M. on Christmas morning finally sublimating a photo slate for a dear friend and her husband. She has ALS, and this is a group photo of her with her family when her husband and I took her to her hometown to visit her family, and to spend some time in her new home that she had build before she was diagnosed with ALS five years ago. I was to be her retirement home, built on land, which her father left to her. It’s a solid and beautiful home that sits there unlived in until we take her to spend a few days in it. It’s a true honor to be able to assist with taking her to appointments, and to visit her home.

This is what I’m sending to my daughter and son-in-law for Christmas as they just celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary. I will send each of their three daughters a sequined pillow with their name and favorite character. What do you think? I’m so glad to have finally decided on what to give them for Christmas. Now, I just have to figure out what to give their two big dogs for Christmas. Perhaps a dog tag with their name on it! Yes… that’s it!!!
That's a great idea!! You could sublimate dog bowls or make personalized shirts for the dogs.

Loved this video… been watching different videos on this… what do you think about the green heat conductive pad with slate. I did not see you have any issues but one video said you needed it…not cheap to purchase either. Thanks

Have you tried sublimating on stainless steel? What could I use to coat the surface
I haven't tried that, but as long as it's a sublimation blank, you won't need to coat it.
I did it. It would be clearer if I had a better picture.
I'm confused about your timing. The pop-up on screen said 450 seconds. Then you said you pressed the slate for 4 minutes (240 seconds). So is the 2nd pressing with the butcher paper the final 210 seconds for a total of 450 seconds?
Did you get a different press just for the slates? Or the vevor you used for the luggage tags can work
I've had this press for a while now. The Vevor would work for this too.

Could you please sublimate on a memorial bench and cause you you are so detail and I'm having a hard time finding the right template for the one that has " doves 🕊 with in loving memory " at top of bench. Thank you

How did you decide on the temperature setting?
I used the recommendation from the package.
Can you use parchment paper instead of butcher paper?
If you do, double it. I suggest cardstock instead of parchment paper though.
Did the slate already come with the white part or did you paint it?
It was already white.
