Mansions are ridiculous for anything less than massive families.
They are vehicles to hold money. Whether it is 200k or 200mil, it's all relative. You can't hold that in cash because we live in a debt based economy.
@@arresthillary9502 it's still ridiculous. If you have so much you can't trust banks, you probably have too much.
They can list it for whatever they want but it’s only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. Only time will tell what it’s true worth is.
I’d pay 10 million for it
I had an amazing experience when I got to move to NC for 3.5 years. The most loving supporting state I have ever lived in. I will be back when I retire.
Turn it into a B & B
These homes are atrocious. So many celebrities are trying to unload these extravagant homes that they can't keep up or sale .
Such a pity to build on a summit with no consideration for the environment.
From a Geotechnical Engineer and NC chick.
From a 50k/year know it all, who knows nothing
It looks amazing
At what point does a home become a monument to one's ego and bankroll? I live in Linville. My 3-bedroom, 3-bath house is on a golf course and has a view of Grandfather Mountain, I paid $285,000 for it 18 years ago and spent another $120,000 upgrading it. Total cost is a mere fraction of the asking price for the mansion shown above and it is all the house my wife and I want or need.
Yeah that's hideous
I dont think if you even had the money you could re create anyrhing like this. I dont think you are allowed to build on the summit of any mountain anymore. Plus this was built in 2005 so you know the finances knew no limit.
no
$30m, only 5 acres, & you still got neighbors ha 🤦♂️
If you could turn it into a lodge/B&B then it's worth it. To just live in it is ridiculous.
