Thank you very much for the tutorial. Applying what you teach in this video made restringing a slotted headstock 12-string resonator INFINITELY easier.

Never saw a guild slot headed guitar before. Very nice.

This method is easier and cleaner than Dave Doll's (C.F. Martin) method, and it's easier to remove the old strings later, too. Thanks for a concise explanation.

Thanks for the lesson on stringing a slotted neck guitar. I have a 12 string slotted neck and my fingers are usually a bloody mess when I finish the job. This technique will be very useful! Btw: I saw David Lindley a few years ago. An amazing guitarist! RIP

Smart. I like this locking method versus tying the string or threading back through the hole, both of which are troublesome to remove.

Is this technique different for nylon/classical strings and do you have a tutorial? I feel like my guitar sounds slightly different & possibly a slight difference in tensions on certain frets if I tie them Using different techniques at the headstock. It could just be my classical guitar has a few minor alignment or fret issues, but I'm just wondering the best technique as one guy says, go through then up & over another guy says go through then down under & back up followed by a loop/knot or a few twists. I also am confused as to whether I should be overlapping the string on the string roller as some people do or to clear the string out and avoid overlapping🤔 I heard one guy say if you overlap the string on the string roller it can sometimes make the strings harder to stay in tune. I may be overthinking, but I feel like the technique in which you tie through the string roller matters a great deal especially if it effects the string tension and sound🤔
