The human eye can only hold a hard focus for only a half second. If the shooter holds their focus right when the target comes off the trap as it reaches the break point, the shooter will lose focus and miss the target. This clip demonstrates how to set up a soft focus on the target until it reaches a certain point optimal for breaking the clay.
