"They don't just need a good concept- they also have to have a good story that goes with it." I've literally been saying exactly that for a long time now, SPECIFICALLY about Monsters, Inc. Not just a high concept, but a genius premise that progresses at a breakneck pace. A great list overall, very happy about the Toy Story tier haha.
I think Monsters Inc is one of the very few films (not just animation) that have BOTH an amazing concept and an excellent story.

I don't think I've ever met someone that loves Monsters Inc as much as I do. It's a nice feeling.
It's one of my favorites as well. Used to watch it quite a bit as a kid on the VHS I had of it (unfortunately it got lost in the shuffle when I loved many years ago). I also always found it to be such an original concept, and appreciate many more of the themes now 20 years later.

Cars 3 is still not a great film, but I feel it ends McQueen's story well (loved his new design in it as well).

@@TwinKids3895 I only judge animation movies by their story and not their visuals. As long as the animation is watchable, the quality of the animation literally doesn't matter. A movie could have the exact same animation quality of the ORIGINAL toy story but as long as the story is good it doesn't matter.
Poke Dino I feel the same way. The Good Dinosaur is my least favorite Pixar movie. Just the animation does not make it rewatchable
@@TwinKids3895 Yeah, its weird to say but I actually prefer to watch ALL three cars films than watch just the Good Dinosaur. Why? Because all three cars films actually had somewhat good stories. The reason why all three films are so hated is because they had a terrible CONCEPT. Yeah living cars just isn't as exciting compared to living toys or talking bugs and fish. But looking past that, it still had a somewhat enjoyable STORY. The Good Dinosaur had some of the best animation Pixar has given us and the concept of the Dinosaurs surviving the meteor really interested me but the story was the most important factor and they disappointed me. There is actually a saying that I really like. There is NO such thing as a BAD IDEA. There are ONLY BAD EXECUTIONS. Basically, you could have the worst concept for a movie EVER but still deliver a good story out of it. Think about all the movies you like. IS the concept REALLY that good? Most likely not. There are probably a few exceptions but still. Story is KEY. (Sorry for ranting but thank you if you read the full comment.)

lets see. its 1hour and 50 minutes.. mmm ok lets round it up to 2hours.. 24 divide 2 is 12 and since i rounded it up by 10 minutes minus 1hour and twenty minutes and add that to it as a little bit of the film. you can watch it 11 4/5 in one day..

Actually, that doesnt make sense because 2 hours x 12 is 1 day and monsters u is less than 2 hours so it would be 14 and 3/11 times.
Your math is way off. If you round it to 2 hours you can watch it 12 times, and then multiply that by the extra 10 mins per time, and you could watch a little over 13 times.

Ratatouille is somewhere up in the perfect tier in my opinion. It has an elegant way of presenting how delicate relationships can be. Not to mention how inside out is mid-tier, better than the other mid-tiers that were there because they were better than Cars 3, but still mid-tier.

@@connordarcy8117 It's not the worst for me, but I feel it's more of a role reversal of the original. Screenslaver was also not a great villain as the mind control aspect I felt was tired and not very original. He/she was also such a massive downgrade from Syndrome who was a brutal (yet had some funny lines) and callous villain who killed people.

I love Monsters University but it’s not as good as Inside Out and Up . I am not really sure about coco I like it but not my favorite.
I don’t cry when watching movies but Coco just might be the closest I’ve been to crying while watching a movie

As someone who's aromantic, Brave really resonated with me. It's the only semblance of good representation I remember ever seeing.

The first half was very well executed but it got boring when she turned her mother into a bear in the second half.

CammoNisse back when it first came out I was a fan of mater so I liked the movie. But now I am a bit older and I like “cars” for being about racing and cars. I would call the movie a decently good movie but a bad sequel.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Up is kinda over rated, the first part of the movie so good because it's told with show not tell, and it promises so much from the rest of the movie, but the rest is just kinda ok lol. UP is so frickin beautiful. It’s one of the only movies that give me goosebumps when I just see it
I LOVED incredible 2 so much. I loved seeing the character developments and the whole plot (even if you had guessed it already xD). I think it was so good and I loved how Helen (I think that’s her name kinda forgot ) (elastagirl) got a chance to shine since number 1 was all abt mr incredible.

To me it’s just boring, but I think the larger part of it is that the majority of the audience thought Mater was a great side character for comic relief but not a good enough of a character to be the lead.

Part 4 I feel also worked as an epilogue. I also enjoyed Bo Peep returning as well as Key and Peele's characters as well as Forky. Their antics had my packed theatre erupting in laughter so much.
IMO, the film works as an epilogue to the series.
