I bought a 02 FLSTC well cared for with 27 K on it back in Aug. I just picked up a wrecked 01 Road king. I have a 72 FLH I have had for 30 years. I do.not like these new bikes too much electronic bull on them. I wish I could convert them to the same specifications as my shovlehead. As soon as I get this Road King done it is gone. I will track.down an early Evo or another shovlehead. Good video on points.

Good video. Very informative. However i do have one suggestion. Next time you decide to make another video make sure that you get rid of all the background noise and music. It makes it very difficult to understand what is being said.

six cylinder Chevy points and condenser (Old in line six cylinder 60,s & 70.s like the 230 & 250 six poppers ) works in the shovelhead and you can find them at Walmart.

@@kjenkins8648 I haven't bought any from Walmart in 25 years. I get everything off eBay now. The rear brake drums on old Shovels' is the same a ACM cars from 59 to 66. I have an old book that cross checks stuff Harley bought from other companies like the Bendix carburetor was used on industrial chainsaws. It saves me cash but some of it is now more expensive than foreign made reproduction parts.

@lisar3006 - by any chance can you give the the title to that reference parts book for the Harley parts?

Instead of turning it from the primary side seeing how it's a kick it could've been "ratchet" using the kicker. I'm sure y'all knew that but I just had 2 cents handy. Cheers, Mickey

Good video but there's so much compression on the sound because of the loud music in the background that we can hardly hear what you're saying. If you're going to do these videos it might be a good idea to lower the volume of the music or just lose it altogether. Thanks for sharing

what I really needed to know is where does the blue wire and where does the white wire go when you swap electronic for points.

Wire off the condenser is power wire to pos post on coil.
