Dad Surprises Daughter by Walking Her Down the Aisle at Her Wedding

- Although her father is usually bound to a wheelchair, he surprised her on her wedding by standing up to walk her down the aisle on her special day. He contacted physical therapists and underwent months of grueling physical therapy in order to build the strength to walk for his daughter. The heartwarming moment left no dry eyes amongst all the wedding's guests.

I understand that, I’m just sad that my father never loved me and when I see boys and girls who have a good relationship with their dad it pains me. I didn’t mean to say that I just wish I had a dad who loved me and would spend time with me. Who would advise me, guide me, give me hugs and just let me know how much I’m loved.

Such is the love of a father!! What he went through to walk his daughter down the isle is nothing short of pure love. This made me tear up. Also the backyard wedding was such a pretty place to have it, the scenery was perfect. And of course the bride looks beautiful.

I'm so sorry. I read your post. I know the pain. Keep praying for your Dad. My Dad struggled with alcoholism for many years. MANY YEARS!!! It almost destroyed our family. Today, he is happy, healthy and healed. He calls on Jesus every day and is a great father and grandfather to our children. He spends time with my brother and I and our children. He is faithful. His word is good. He is trustworthy, kind and considerate. He prays for all of us. He is enjoying his life and family.
The Lord answered our prayers. Please don't ever give up. Pray faithfully, even when it looks like your Dad will never change. It's a sickness. I'm sure your Dad loves you but these sicknesses have control over minds and bodies. Be sure to never join in. Be careful what you do so your life will be good. Stay away from anything that's addictive. Show your Dad that you care and love him. Offer him help now and then. (I remember how my Dad didn't think he needed it.)
One day I got a phone call from a hospital rehab center.... many states away from us! My Dad checked himself in!!! HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD! I couldn't believe it.... but God blessed us all. He has NEVER slipped up and it's been over 30 years now, sober.
