    Where do I begin.
Growing up in Texas we crossed the border for spring break. We also had friends who are from Mexico. We would go and visit their families. Food is amazing. Some time in the mid or late 2000 our friend’s parents told them/us to not visit anymore. It was too dangerous. So we stopped.
I find it very unique what is being reported on the news. A lot more things are happening. This is only scratching the surface.
My wife’s family loves to visit Mexico. They have had great times down there. It is hard to convince someone of the dangerous situations when you only know good times.
I choose not to go down there. I read something about being a “gringo” and standing out. It doesn’t matter if you look white or if you are brown. If you are an American you will stand out. My buddy was just down there for work. He is Mexican and speaks proper Spanish. The locals called him a gringo. Because they still see an American even though he is brown.
IDK. Regardless the story posted is sad.

The " repubutable resorts" have poor locals living there & working at resorts as well as, taxi drivers, who also participate in drugging killing tourists. Going to poor countries where locals make $5 a day to work at resorts. And businesses are required to financially support &
work for drug cartels is asking for trouble. Do research on how Mafia works in US by them forcing locals & businesses to work & financially support Mafia or be murdered.
