@@theredpillneo2296 i don't think it is and the only reason why I say this is because I was trying to watch all the cymbal logos between the different angles they were all in the same place. I saw someone else cover a song and that's how I found out he did it in multiple takes.

Because they don't have to be, he only plays with them turned over because it's his preference
And it's why this cover sounds hollow..... The sticks being the other way drastically change the sound. It's not just preferable....

@@normalguy144 I know I wasnt asked to answer but I'm on both sides. One, he has incredibly accuracy and is an amazing drummer. The amount of coordination that goes into this is insane. On the other hand, its triggered. Hes 100% playing every beat you hear but the amount of FORCE he is putting behind each stroke is meniscal. By using triggers, he can keep an even volume regardless if he hits the hell of the bass drum or barely hits it. If there was no triggers used in this song, you would not even hear the DB in any of the fast bits. That's why triggers are used. Some people just straight up hear triggers and think 100% fake, not true. I feel like they're acceptable when playing stupid fast DB but other that... Idk, it's not necessary. Gotta show them true power instead of one even note of bass. That's my 2 cents
The technique is called heel toe. That is a great skill in itself, extreme difficult to master and it allows the player to play double base at those ridiculous speeds that aren't possible with the traditional method. Triggers aren't getting him speed, all they do is equalise the sound. I'd suggest searching heel toe double bass technique to see it in action.

Jeez you can really tell how good the drummer from the actual band really is because it’s so much cleaner in the original (not that this guy is sloppy it’s just that the other guy is so talented) I don’t understand why people hate on this type of music when it’s so difficult to play
