I can't remember if I made a comment when I first watch this video a few months back, however I am going to comment now, and tell you that I love the feeling of the waves you captured, and the colors are wonderful. As for the skin cancer stuff, I can relate. I've had a few bits cut out here and there or "frozen" off before. It's the price of working outdoors.

Amazing just what pallette knife painting works!
I love the way you have the video running while you’re painting in the studio. It’s a great lesson to me rather than relying on my photos. It’s quite cold where I live so I don’t have much chance to paint a plein air

G'day Richard, another magnificent coastal scene, captured in Musgrave-Evans style. Love the way you have played the dark rocks and the crashing, white surf off of each other. It does focus the eye as a key point of contrast and drama. There is always an inspirational feel about your coastal scenes. They uplift and dance on the eyes, there is energy and movement. "The near and far, the lost and found" as you always so eloquently put it are a trademark of your creativity and style. Enjoyed this one my friend, cheers Rich.

👋Hello Richard, how are you? - Thanks for this excellent demonstration of your fine artistic skills! You have already explained the most important facts about this beautiful artwork. The contrasts of light and dark, opaque and transparent colors are great! We see calm water and then this wave hitting the granite rocks with full force, causing the whitecap to burst into countless droplets. Pure movement and energy. I also like the atmospheric sky, the darker, calm-looking sea on the horizon and the wonderfully transparent eye of the wave in the middle. В твоём видео происходит прибой между двумя скальными образованиями. Эти скалы запараллелены, то есть у них нет возможности соединения из-за их параллельности, но они соединяются через воду, через тот красивый прибой волн 🌊 , это дар свыше соединить несоединимое )) То есть ничего нет в жизни невозможного ) Пусть твои возможности не знают никаких ограничений 🙏😇🍀

In my case, I occassionally run the edge of a painting knife a couple of times along very fine wet-and-dry sandpaper stuck down to a small formica benchtop off-cut, to flatten back that sharp edge that eventually forms.

Hi Richard, I just discovered your videos. Thank you for sharing your work. Beautiful, especially the ocean paintings. This one and kangaroo island remind me so much of the caribbean island (bonaire) I used to live. After ten years living in the usa, this dutchie is ready to move and see the turquoise water again. And to get painting again instead of collaging and knitting. I really miss the colors and the tranquil way of life. Australia has been on my bucket list for a long time too. Hope to visit someday. They have special glasses that let you see colors, and that can't never paint like that well if you practice and practice there you will became an oil painter
