Man, Milania wasn’t kidding when she said her brother was the most ruthless of all the imperian. When he can’t bring Godwyn back as his consort due to the Death Rune. He asked Rahdan but because Rahdan was loyal to Erdtree order, he sent Millenia to kill him and take control of his soul. When that doesn’t work, he manipulated Mogh to kidnap him from his Haligtree to replenish his blood after he spend it watering the tree. Then!!!After you killed Mogh, he put Rahdan’s Soul into Mogh body to make Rahdan a consort puppet….the dude is fucking diabolical.
Is he though? The Golden Order/Erdtree is far worse. Miquella was trying to create an era of compassion for all

@@nera6159hey there mate, you had to follow some Quest, the Knight of Mohg and Radhan! I lost some dialogue cause I explore all the map and find the Messmer boss without want it to. So basically you had to read every letter you find, listen to every dialogue they have!!! Basically the order of mohg wasn’t that bad and barbaric has we see in the base game, but everything changed after Miquella use his spells on Mohg, making him a ruthless monster to help him in his dream. He also used that on Malenia, cause apparently why she had to fight his brother without any razonable reason. That explains why Malenia say she never knew defeat, cause probably after the Nuke, and reborn she lost her memories and that fight with Radhan and the real desire of miquella. Cause if she knew Mohg take him she will go and destroy everything to take him back… But after years she was thinking miquella was in the Three… and that explains too, why Radhan wasn’t holding back the stars “ the written Future of every person “ even after become a beast, he knew Miquella would use him and that’s not a Warrior fate.

I started last night, and got pissed so I went to bed, woke up today and used antspur rapier which does scarlet rot with seppuku on it+ mimic tear. IM FINALLY GOT IT

Of all Elden Ring characters, for some reason Miquella creeps me out the most
Miquella is my favorite Elden Ring character for that very reason.
I mean, dude uses his power to transfix everyone he can into following him with blind adoration. That's pretty scary. And given how subtle he can be about it (see: Mohg), he can even paint himself the victim.
Miquella is straight up Griffith's character and it's great. Miquella, while no doubt he loved everyone around him, had greater goals and was not above sacrificing everyone else for it. Like how Griffith said he doesn't see anyone as his equal and all are just stones and pawns in the grand scale of things. Kind of like Ranni, except her goal was to defy fate, where as Miquella's is to rule it in his own way.
Fromsoft always does a great job of tying up their stories with the DLCs. Though admittedly Radahn as the final boss, looking the same, was kind of a let down for me. If they even changed him up a bit.
Also who else got the DS3 twin Lords of Cinder vibe with this fight?

What’s sad is that Radahn doesn’t come back until his 2nd phase. He wakes up because of your fight with him. He is reminded of his fight with you in the base game. Awakening his warrior spirit. Miquella then comes out and binds his soul to him. You can tell this by Radahns red aura. Red is for Radahn waking up. Miquella aura is gold. It over takes Radahns aura. In the end killing Radahn is a mercy killing. Just like on the beach when he was plagued by scarlet rot.
Edit: now that I take a closer look. Ima still say that Radahn does indeed come back. From the reply I got saying that the red aura is in fact Mogh. I
would Agree. The gold is actaully not Miquella, but Radahns. It’s not over taking but forcing the red aura out. This would explain why Miquella comes out and embraces Radahn.
Sadly no, the red aura is Mohg blood magic from the Outer God the Formless Mother.

@@musafirghayrmaeruf1 miquella allegedly controlled mohg and malenia. miquella also tried to use malenia to force radahn to marry him. radahn refused and a war broke out with malllenia in which countless people died, caelid was poisoned and radahn's soul was stolen. mohg "kidnapped" miquella, which gave miquella access to the land of shadow (and made us think mohg was a sex offender 🙈). when we defeated mohg, miquella stole mohg's dead body and made radahn's new body out of it, which miquella could now also control. regardless of whether miquella has good or bad intentions, he is definitely willing to sacrifice anything and anyone for it.

Don’t understand why people hating so much in Radahn consort, I just feels it’s so cool and such a great plot twist, I also wanted a Godwyn comeback, but radahn/mogh and malenia being the victims of miquella the kind is so cool to me, also really thinks this boss fight is really hard for good fromsoft players and feels a bit over the top but I really loved it.
I think the fight is too over the top, but lorewise it's perfect.
Everyone expected a Miquella plot twist but they took one of the very few paths no one could potentially anticipate.
This is FromSoftware at his finest.
@@dinorex3464 I think is valid to think that, but for me it represented such a great difficulty wall that when I beat him last night, the happiness I felt, I really felt proud of myself, it took me hours to beat him with buckler parry and I think that’s the best strat but i understand some people are not as me, at the end this game is attached to subjective experience, but Radahn promised consort represented to me a great challenge that I overcame with perseverance and effort and for me that’s worth everything, maybe not the best fight but my favourite, not like my experience with malenia which nearly put me into tears, that’s why I understand people struggling with this boss, but I think everyone should reconsider things about this boss and see it with another mindset, I know everybody will do it in the future, because destroying Radahn is worth gold and my experience was great
He's hated because his presence is illogical. It could be Malenia, she suits the role better, or practically any other demigod.

there have been so many deaths, because all the fucking lights and even Miquella's hair are obstructing what Radahn will do next.
and then there are some attacks that I still haven't figured out how I can reliably dodge them.

@@TheAwkwardGuy I have beaten him just today, after a lot of analyzing of my own fights and some other players who beat them (without using some big cheese tactic that is all about avoding to learn his pattern)
You can dodge basically all of it, there are still some attacks I haven't fully figured out, but I will learn more next time, but maybe by then FromSoft decided to nerf some of the bosses a little to make them a little more fun. I mainly hope for them to reduce visual clutter to make the fight in the 2nd phase a little more... observable.
If you are still attempting at defeating him without cheesing him, just ask me and I will try to detail to you how to avoid some of his more painful attacks.

Used Moore's Shield +10 and mimic
basically got incredibly lucky at the end before he was about to fly up
Hit him hard, stunned him, and finished him off with the mimic doing some dps
Thinking Malenia must've been taken aback by this reveal would be an understatement. She gave everything for her twin, and prided her sword skills on that oath, and then the last person in the entire world she'd ever expected stabs her in the back.
She knew he wanted radahn to be her consort

@@1aundulxaldin It's something mentioned on the item description for this boss's armor. When she detonated an Aeonia on top of him, she whispered "Miquella awaits you," or something to that effect. You can even see it back in that CG trailer from back when the game was announced

The only thing that disappointed me a bit is that there is no credits roll, just to give you the feeling that you completed the dlc, other than that it was a SENSATIONAL experience, thank you from software.
got to the second phase once, couldnt tell wtf was going on and died. How do you beat this shit without hiding behind a magic shield?
This may sound like horrible advice but... like any souls boss, you just keep doing it until you either give up or beat it. Unless you're doing too little damage, and you can definitely tell if you are, just keep trying and you'll eventually succeed. Good luck.
I recommend going rot build and just waiting for him to die while your summons take most of the hits

So was the Vow that if Miquella helped Radahn get revenge and bring him back to life that he would be his consort? I'm confused cause everyone was saying he was doing this to try and help Godwyn
Godwyn was Miquellas first choice for consort but he died permanently during the night of the black knifes. Afterwards he chose Radahn but he rejected him causing him to send Malenia to attack and nuke him essentially neutralizing him in the process. Once we kill Radahn Miquella took his soul and subjugated it just like he did with everyone who follows him. He just needed a new body for him and Radahn which is where Mogh comes in. Mogh gave Miquella a new body through the Blood mother and he put Radahns soul in Moghs body once we kill him, it’s why Radahn in seen being able to use blood flames in some of his attacks. It’s easy to see why Miquella is so dangerous he has the ability to subjugate you with words alone, if he grabs you twice the fight ends with him “taking your heart” taking away your will.

@@jellyman1303 it’s not it’s mainly inferred based on his relationship with him and item descriptions. Much like everything else it’s speculation, but it would make sense for him to be his consort. Dying and becoming the God of Death would prevent him from reviving him properly.
I noticed this boss doesnt do anywhere near as much damage as that Messmer boss, are the boss damages just inconsistent like that or would it be the build? I suffer from what's known as a skill issue so I don't play the game so I don't understand 😅
I think it just boils down to the shield really, a fully upgraded shield with sorcery buff can make a lot of boss fights trivial.

Radahn is an absolute monster when it comes to damage, it's not inconsistent.
You must be underestimating the build you have. There are several reasons why radahn will be doing less damage than messmer all of them are 100% your fault.
Low scadutree blessings, bad fire/thrust resistence vs 20 scadutree blessings and high slash/holy resistence

Well, this isn't the real Radahn. But Mohgs body taken the shape of Radahn by Miquella. Though, I do think Messmer is supposed to be the strongest child of Marika.

Darksouls 3 twin boss. Or inspired by it. How did i miss it. This dlc is like a boss rush for Darksouls OGs. Wow Miyazaki, and his team, are a great game makers straight up.
One of his moves looks like its directly taken from Pontiff Sulyvahn. That combo he does in Phase 2 looked really familiar to me.

I've made it through the base game and every boss I've found in sote with just my summon but he is impossible for me. It's to the point where I'm just watching the cut scene so I can start ng+ and max out all my stats

I always thought Miquella was looking for a way to save Godwyn, his soul was killed by the Black Knife Assassins, as well as trying to find a way to cure his sister’s Rot Affliction but him wanting to save Radahn is unexpected.
I always thought Mohg kidnapped Miquella and that caused Malenia to go on the warpath to find him but him sending her to kill him and her absolutely “failing” to finish the job but it still makes me wonder did he know Malenia wouldn’t be able to pull it off thus forcing her to use the Rot Aeonia and basically nuke Radahn and Caelid or was that something she did in her desperation that Miquella had no control over?
No Miquella like his mother is a master manipulator he manipulated a whole bunch of people. His sister who gave him everything the people of the haligtree, his followers, Radahn, and etc

Got him on my 3rd attempt 😁 the spirit ash black Knight commander Andrea's took a ton of that punishment lol, excellent dlc.
During the phase 2 cutscene it kinda looked like radhan was getting mad and was brraking out of miquella's control with all the red flames engulfing him but miquella quickly takes control over him again, which is kinda sad as we would have gotten the chance to fight prime radhan if this wasnt the case

call me crazy, but i didnt really like that the widely agreed upon strat to beating him is cheese. i killed him with such and it felt...wrong
on the other hand, he felt honestly unfair at times, the FRAME 9 (at 30fps) left right cross doing just shy of 2/5 my health with 79.8 physical absorption is hella unfair, almost unreactable and the second hit is a hit confirm off the first. Assuming you dont panic roll the final hit, your left in a pickle.
oh and most of his attacks become very hard to punish at all in phase 2, which compunds the issue

Wasn't Miquella trying to bring Godwyn back? Why is Radahn the end boss when we pretty much already fought him? For real it would have been even more badass if we got a battle against the og champion of men and dragons, Godwyn the Golden.
Well his soul is 100% confirmed gone. The only thing left is his rotting corpse. And I'm not sure that wouldve been a fun boss.

So basically miquella isnt the good guy as we thought. He wanted to make radahn his consort, but radahn rejected him. Miquella didnt like this so he sent malenia over to nuke caelid and defeat radahn lmao.
Miquella's plan was always ascending to godhood to create a new order and replace the flawed golden one, and he wanted to do so by using Radahn as consort since he was the strongest demigod.
Radahn agreed to help Miquella but backed down the offer after realising he wanted to replace the Golden Order, so during the Shattering Miquella sent Malenia after him so that she could kill him and obtain his soul.
However, while she was away, Miquella bewitched Mohg into kidnapping him so that someone could kill him and get his body.
Once the Tarnished kills both Radahn and Mohg, Miquella puts the former's soul in the latter's body and creates a puppet "consort" to ascend to godhood.
The other side of the vow in question was that miquella would give radhan a warriors death somehow
Malenia was chosen for this but she couldn't quite finish the job.

That's it? That's what we spent about 30 housrs on in this DLC and god knows how many tries on this boss alone for? To get a less then a minute long cutscene?
My disapointment is just straight up immesurable. First time seeing Radahn I was screaming like a little girl, the coolest demigod is here to fight in his prime. And then I saw that he's just a damage sponge, and then I saw all his BS strings with busted AOE. This fight should've been the coolest in the DLC, and it turns out to be just bad.
Where’s the horse? It’d be so cool watching torrent fight his horse in the background while you fight halfway through turning into a required mounted fight I’d even take a scripted fight
I can't wait until Asmongold's chat laughs about the femboy godess controlling Radahn.
And he tries to turn you into one of his simps midway through the fight.

I really appreciate the ending they went with. Personally I would have loved the following:
Miquella takes Godwyn as his Consort to ascend to Godhood and give Godwyn a proper death. Miquellas Soul takes over Godwyns Body. In Order to do so, Miquella has to kill Leda and her followers. Then we fight Godwyn/Miquella as the Final Boss.
After the fight Miquella says goodbye to Torrent.
Like I said, I liked the ending they went with. Just some alternative thoughts. :)

@@twitchmain-5048 my guess is you were trying to equip it from recent items? It works for me with both the miquella and st trina head pieces, just equip them like any other helmet, they should be at the top since they are both very light.

No it's before, Miquella knows that you want to become Elden Lord but you're still not a Lord until you defeat the Elden Beast

You can return to the arena to collect Ansbach's and Thiollier's bell bearings, weapons and full sets, and go to St. Trina to collect her headpiece, but overall no, the DLC ends here.

Marika is your 'wife' consort in the standard endings and you can supplant her with Ranni in that ending. Miquella is a boy, and one of the sons of Marika and Radagon, who was chosen to be a god to replace Marika (like Ranni). Radahn was the strongest demigod and was defeated by the player after being degraded and rotted by Miquella's twin sister, Malenia. You and other warriors defeat Radahn in a great festival battle, but inadvertently allow his soul to pass into the Realm of Shadow where Miquella wants to make Radahn, his half brother, the lord of his new age of Compassion as he was the best choice after his original choice, Godwyn, could not be revived after being assassinated by Ranni on the Night of Black Knives in such a way that his soul was destroyed. Using the body of the Lord of Blood, Mohg, as a vessel for Radahn's soul and thus revived him to become his Lord and warrior for his new age like Godfrey and Radagon were for Marika in the previous age. The version we fight of Radahn in the DLC is a younger version of him in his prime.
Elden Ring has a very complex plot and story so it was a lot to explain the setup for this finale.

I reccomend bleed affinity on a spear or rapier with the biggest greatshield you own and either extra stamina talismans or stamina regen as well as the greatsheild talisman. Make sure your stamina does not get too low and you should be fine if you block literally everything. Worked for me in new game plus 11 lol

@@magicalonso3243this is the answer without reading the lore should have…Godwyn is gone due to the rune of destined death aka perma dead. The reason why Rahdan soul can return due to he still have his grace so he can be apart of the cycle of resurrection.

Two years just to spit in our faces with a character we already fought and killed and that clearly wasn’t planned from a story perspective. Radahn is there just to surprise the player since Godwyn was the logical final boss if Miquella wanted to have a consort.

Radahn you can tell Miyazaki and his team loved his character and story, really tragic. Strongest of the Family across. Loved his steed and devoted his actions to protect and promised Miquella to consort with until his Great rune then Rotted away from his Half Sister only to be finding a Champion to end his suffering then brought back in the Land of Shadows. Radahn really was the true hero in the story but nothing goes happy.
In the end, the endings of the game remain the same, yes? If that's the case, then meh.

It's Mohg's body with Radahn's soul in it, you can see the Omen horns on his arms during the intro cutscene.
Miquella needed a vessel to put Radahn's soul into to create a puppet consort and Mohg was the perfect choice.

The DLC has humbled so many ROB builds and I'm here for it. It was never about being toxic - it was about respecting the bosses and Elden Ring made it too easy for it's new player base to cheese through.

A consort doesn't necessarily need to be a husband, he/she can also be a simple champion, which is what Radahn was to Miquella.

That was... Really stupid. I felt dumb playing it. Like if all the lore videos we watched were for nothing. It would be much smarter if it was just fought alone Miquela but in a God state. Or if he used Radhan and Mogh but created some kind of Bloodborne abomination in the process. Or even better, if he had used Godwyn in some way ( like they give us some clues he is going to with all the Castle Sol itens and rituals ). Now Malenia looks like nothing to Miquella, the lore is kind broken because they didn't answer any of our questions, I still don't know why we are fighting Miquella ( because we want to is not a fucking answer ). Sure, to have the chance to watch Radhan in his prime is cool. But not "FINAL BOSS OUT OF NOWHERE COOL". Now it just feels like an empty story with an ending that doesn't add much to it. All the map and the other bosses are amazing, of course they are. Rellana was funny, not even to mention Messmer and his castle. And the fight just before the final boss... Cool as hell. But then... Why? Imagine if the final boss fight would be like the other NPC's just ended getting teleported in the middle of our battle. All of the NPC's. Then you go fight MIquella and a cutscene starts. We get to watch the little golden fucker sacrifice all of the NPC to become a god, even the ones that love him ( like Griffth ). And then... Then our final boss begin.
Makes no sense why miquela even brought the tarnished back if she could’ve literally just done this

Because we didn't know what kind of evil Miquela could do, simply because they never showed us. Telling us that he lost his love is not showing us that he did. So, in the end, we don't know why the hell we are fighting him AND we did not feel like he is a good villain because we didn't even fight him directly.
@@jonasgabriel7082 They did show you. You just never talked with the NPCs to see how they all changed once Miquella's Great Rune got shattered. How Leda goes from easygoing and friendly to someone so mistrustful, she'd be an Inquisitor if she were in the Warhammer universe.
Anything other than someone we already fought wouldve been okay. Radahn had like nothing to do with miquella and now he's marrying him after we thought mohg marrying him was weird. Yes ofc i wanted Godwyn, but even if we were fighting someone new, id be happy. But Radahn(in my opinion) isnt as cool as characters like: Maliketh, Bayle, Midra, Godfrey etc... This version of radahn is super cool, yes. But he looks so normal and alive compared to all the bosses who have cool transitions and stuff. Even the original Radahn was kinda cool. But this didnt feel very cool. Still think the dlc is 10/10 just wouldve changed the final boss.
