waiting for a map where you can use the highway trucks more often. Like a map with a long asphalted road surrrounded by a bog or something. So, you use the off-road trucks to bring the cargo to the highway trucks, then you take the hw trucks to the delivery spots
The scout 800 is my favourite scout, but ONLY if you attach the 900L scout trailer and fully upgrade. It then becomes much less tipsy (the trailer keeps it pinned down and stops it tipping as much), but also carries good amount of repair points and is fun to drive on terrain while being quite capable - but not so capable that it makes the game easy. And this is WITH the trailer, which it can lug around almost anywhere So it's this perfect combination of range, able to go anywhere but not so easily as to make the game lame. Great car!
Until I found the Tuz 420 Tatarin I only ever used the scout 800 pulling the prototype radar with the Marshall as the pull donkey with great mpg. The Apache I found useless. Has extra fuel but no trailer hitch and much worse mpg than the Marshall with no extra fuel. :D

I can’t wait to see this game in it’s full glory and when another game comes out of this type I can call it the deserved name of the true OG Off-road cargo delivery simulator
Fun fact, reducing the suspension height on the Scout 800 actually does nothing to fix the bouncing, because the problem with it is that the suspension is ridiculously stiff and makes the car bounce around everywhere regardless of the ground clearance. So you're better off using the raised suspension and the biggest tires you have.
I've actually had good luck with the international scout, I used it to explore most of Alaska when I first started playing but now I just use it as a fun truck to drive around.
Oddly enough, there was one mission where the Don came to the rescue. There was a checkpoint based mission around in abandoned factory, where the checkpoints were all hidden behind obstacles and the Don was the only truck that could squeeze through some of the gaps. That was the first and only time I've ever used the Don. Also, (in a very quiet voice), where is the update?
Technically if you already have loaded a 4 slot ramped flat bed with a winch you can still use the tatarin to haul cargo and unload cargo because the unloading/loading points in game register the trailer without the truck but only when unloading. Personally i sold both tats and stuck with what i was used to in real life. I drove multiple oshkosh truck types with lhs platforms and such. Saldy. Nothing like that in game but the a azov 5319 with low saddle and crane come close.
I use the tartarin as a tug boat for towing. I'll use a bandit with various attachments and whichever trailer I need attached to the bandit, then I'll just wench it with the tartarin and I can go anywhere I want while hauling as much cargo as I want!
I ran the Scout 800 with a Scout Fuel Trailer, in my early game, which helps dampen the 800s bounciness, and gives it basically unlimited fuel. Best thing for it, if its your best Scouting truck option at the moment.
Right. And it might have been buffed because it sure as hell isn't "slow". It's decently quick and is definitely powerful. It's a great truck so I don't know if they upgraded it since he made this list, but he's wrong here.
As much as I love the transtar, it really is useless. I hope the developers add a map where it's more useful. And fix the steering and handling on paved roads
Don 71 and scout 800 totally agree. I find the big kolob quite useful actually, it's helped me out a few times. The royal bm gets on my nerves cos it looks quite good but is quite tippy and even with a snorkel you get depth warnings when you get the wheels wet. It's terrible near any water. I know the scout 800 is always on these lists ( for ligitment reasons), but I personally love it. Plus its the closest I can get to the Jeep CJ anyway.
You've got the Scout 800 all wrong, as a pathfinder vehicle it's incredible because it's very small and very light. The trick is to *not* lift it. At the stock ride height the center of gravity is low enough that it isn't tippy and it weighs so little that it just dances down any trail. The only thing that slows it down is deep mud, but I still find that it gets through that even better than the lifted Chevy. IMO the 800 is the most fun way to explore the maps, just add tires and go.
I'm addicted to the scout 🤣. But its mostly for nostalgia and I oddly have good luck (besides tipping at times) Though if they tossed a range rover classic or defender in there...id definitely trade my tractor for leyland haha.

I personally don't really understand the hate against the scout 800, It did a good job for me with me only tipping it once when I was trying to get the Hummer's raised suspension, I even did that one mission where you have to take 1x vehicle spare parts to a house on Smithville Dam
@@vladvulcan yeah, but I think you don't need the snowrunner gearbox on it, It has perma diff so the extra low gears aren't really needed, and the free way gearbox is on Smithville Dam too so it's not too far away from the raised suspension for it

I used it for scouting Paydro Bay with a sideboard bed and Fuel canisters and chains... after that the game came a little more easier... but still slow with vanilla trucks...
I love the scout but I agree with the problems here. I switched to the 31” tires which reduced the tippyness at the expense of ground clearance. Love the little thing

Honestly I don’t really like the Twinsteer. It loves to fall over and has no AWD (as of the end of august) and you can use any other truck like the Tayga with the low saddle for pulling up the same amount of cargo and having more maneuvering because it’s articulated.
It's a love or hate truck for me, I understand. I think the fact it's different is the appealing bit but it most certainly can tip over and is unwieldy.
I have made videos on most of these trucks. I went exploring in the artic with the Transtar, and I took the LO4F to The Rift, but the only one that has failed it’s mission so far, and that I absolutely hated driving was the Don 71. I like the vehicle but it has no power
I love don 71 His main advantatges are low consumption and being very light, worked very nice for scouting! Also, it can squeeze through really small gaps making it even better. Just avoid deep mud, and get offline winch. If u make sure u have some truck as a mobile base it sure will bring some fun, it can even be loaded with auto crane.
The Kolob 74941 is great imo. I sold the anniversary dlc trucks and bought this and the Azov 64131 or whatever number it has and those two trucks were crucial for me to be able to complete tasks or even move at all. The Azov was surprisingly good, even on all terrain tires going through mud and everything stock, while the Kolob allowed me to pull a giant trailer loaded with goods and towing a maintenance trailer eith the winch through Alaska on mud tires and managed to maintain grip. I didn't have any modifications, which means i was stuck on mid low gear all the time, it took me pretty long because of going so slow, but at any moment i felt like i was about to fail. It gave me a lot of confidence through the mission, slow but steady truck. I now have the modded Kolob "bruxa", which is even better, but i kept the vanilla one since it deserves a special spot in my garage. That and the Azov, but i still use it for some tasks, even after having a few mod vehicles. I just used it today to move long logs on the russia region because it has excellent fuel consumption and a fairly big tank, but still towed it to the loading spot to save fuel
I've never even played snowrunner, but I like the scout 800 just because it's a good looking truck, and my neighbors have one rusting away at the end of their driveway.
I used the Kolob in Michigan after going to Russia just to by the OP first Azov and this one. I literally bought it for a single mission in Island Lake because it's huge tires let it go through the swamp with a trailer really well but I am going to try Alaska now for the first time and I don't really think I will be keeping it.
The Scout 800 reacts to the physics of the game more than any other truck. For me, someone who loves video game physics, this is what got me hooked on the game to begin with. The yellow and white livery is perfection. True, I stopped using it once I got the tatarin, but if it weren't for the perky little bugger, I don't think I would still be playing the game two years later.
Nice facecam! 👌😎 I also found the the Chevy CK1500 with raised suspension loves to fall over a lot as well, so I guess it's just a scout thing. Which makes sense, really.
I used the Transtar with low saddle as much as I could in Alaska. It still wasn’t the primary truck but it helped. As for the Scout 800, I honestly stopped using the Chevy halfway through Michigan and switched to the Scout because always-on diff lock turned out to be more helpful than bigger wheels, especially on Island Lake and Drummond Island. Go figure.
Surprised the derry 4520 isn't here since the engine it uses is used in other vehicles half its weight for something that can only pull trailers a B+ power to weight is awful.
My experience with a Loaf with stock hight and highway tires is great. I took the prototype exploration trailer from the railway station to it's destination without help
in forza horizon 4 they have the international scout 800 and you can manage to squeeze 400+ HP out of the stock motor i definitely think it needs a buff
The overlooked but very capable Voron AE-4380. It’s longer wheelbase allows it to have the smaller crane and carry two pieces of cargo. I like it’s Road look and the extra light that you can add on which is very useful when backing up or loading cargo. I do not know why it only has 50 gallons of fuel instead of the tiger having around 90 gallons
I am running an American-only fleet, in my need-the-greatest-amount-of-developer-loving list: P12 and Longhorn 4520, their torque is only enough to pull themselves over the grade climbing. So my actual high-saddle towing is done by M916A1, a 6 wheeler without mud tires, what a shame! Until now, my fleet still lack proper high-saddle tractor, while Russian fleet has an entire sub-fleet of high-saddle tractors. Blew items are optional: ANK MK38, The picture on the load screen of Pedro Bay - Alaska shows MK38 is towing a heavy duty tanker trailer, which means MK38 used to be capable of frame add-on, but got removed eventually. MK38 supposed to be Tayga king of American fleet. 6900TS, trailer towing and high-saddle towing. In real life, 6900 does has a saddle, just flip it out. Maybe currently the game system doesn't allow it, just let it tow trailers, since there IS a hitch there. 5600TS, why the hell can't 5600TS, a 10 wheeler can't tow high-saddle when the C70, a tiny 4-wheeler can?
This Kolob really only works well in deeper mud with the heaviest of trailers compared to other trucks who will totally get stuck there. But it really is slow and thirsty!
The F-750 is the worst truck, as of now, before the update. Its engine is so underpowered for its massive size, that it bogs down and stalls out on flat ground, let alone a steeply graded hill.
Yeah, the F-750 is largely ineffective at almost everything. It can't pull a greased string out of a cat's butt, because it's so heavy and under powered. It is almost as slow as some of the heavy trucks, and trying to pull any trailer with it is a lost cause. BUT... it is a good repair vehicle. With all of the repair supplies attached, it can repair a lot of damage and it can refuel a lot too.
If you attach all those trailers on Transtar the turn radios is abysmal. I kinda hoped it will be a redeeming quality and i could use it as a highway refuel station or something but even there it seems kinda bad. The truck looks kinda cute tho.
The Kolob is an early game beast - first truck you can get (along with p16, but no AWD on that one) with mud tyres of value 3 or more in the mud - almost highest in game. Other trucks are middling along at 2 at best, so the Kolob is an early game mud BEAST In fact, I'd suggest it should be the first of 2 trucks people buy, along with the Azov
I guessed 4 out of 5 from your review but didn't expect the Kolob to be in it hahah. Guess I'm just really patient with it in hauling big cargos. Finally at Level 20 now in Alaska. :D
The pay star sometimes gets on my nerves with its high body even without raised suspension and the single tire wide tires (that’s weird to say) make it a little tippy. But it’s a great early game truck.
For me, the Twinsteer and the P16 are definetely part of the List: Twinsteer lacks the option to pull trailers and for 4 Loading points even the "small" Fleetstar with short trailer (and crane!) is better, if you use the ramp trailer, nearly every offroad truck can pull 6 load points and every saddle truck can at least pull 5 so clearly better P16 can only have high saddle and has no AWD and has only one set of tires, so a lot worse than the Kolob (Phase 2 of course!)
So I’ve done Alaska Russia and even the new map (that I’ve forgotten the name of) and I’m now starting on Michigan, I’ve done black river smith Ville and now I’m working on island lake, I consider it one of the more pain in the ass maps because of how far a garage is and the lack of a gas station, could you make a video on the best way to do island lake without having to constantly reset trucks because you run out of fuel? Like say use the cats massive fuel tank attachment for a mobile fuel source and other vehicles for repair?
A Tribe Called Cars well I more mean the best combination of vehicles to take so I don’t have to go back to the Smithville garage, like best vehicles for mud that can use a maintenance attachment and or trailer, and maybe another one with a crane that’s also maneuverable
I took the paystar, the white and the ck1500, wack some fuel and repair trailers around the map then good to go. ( I know I'm 11 months late but to anyone in the future wondering)
The BM17 drove me nuts for like 30 minutes tonight. All I wanted to do was take some service parts from the warehouse in Smithville Dam to the boulders (like a 2 minute drive) and the thing just kept tipping over. I heard it was a decent truck but as far as I am concerned, it’s useless if it can’t stay on its wheels.
Good list except for the Horse of a vehicle. No, just no. Mr Lone Wolf loves his lo4fs and has 12 of them. On pc there is a low rider hydraulic mod for it. Great video as always. I don’t have a worst vehicle yet as I haven’t unlocked them all. But the Don 71 probably would be the worst on on my list.
What do you think of the idea of adding a new map/zone with loads of tarmac. We have zones with snow, we have zones with mud why not a zone with tarmac. A noob friendly map where you can just relax and drive on road.
Honestly all the KOLOBs are useless, get aP16 or Navistar 5000 (high saddle). They can do the same jobs much better and faster. But out of the two KOLOB, the flat nose one is worse. I dunno if they since patched it, but when I used it that underpowered hunk of junk couldn't drag itself out of it's own way.
The KOLOB Show in this video I had for a long time and belived the 74760 KOLOB was terrible.. It’s time I make the switch... TO THE DERRY LONGHORN 4520
I love the scout 800, but yes. It loves to fall over. It's pretty good otherwise. On maps with fairly flat terrain it's very useful. If it didn't have such a high center of gravity it would probably be the best small scout, if not one of the best.

I have made videos on most of these trucks. I went exploring in the artic with the Transtar, and I took the LO4F to The Rift, but the only one that has failed it’s mission so far, and that I absolutely hated driving was the Don 71. I like the vehicle but it has no power
I love don 71
His main advantatges are low consumption and being very light, worked very nice for scouting!
Also, it can squeeze through really small gaps making it even better.
Just avoid deep mud, and get offline winch.
If u make sure u have some truck as a mobile base it sure will bring some fun, it can even be loaded with auto crane.
It is a truck that can be useful, absolutely :)
Not gonna lie, this is the first video I saw with your face actually moving. Kinda scared me when you started moving hahaha
Hahaha yeah I am real and not just a voice. I think. Never sure whether it's worth doing the face stuff.
3:58 that was a good laugh.
The scout 800 is really good for michagin
Agreed. Long as you're careful on the hilly bits.
I'd love a real one, see if they are keen to sell lol.
@@ATribeCalledCars LOL. Sadly, it's pretty far gone, and they're not the typ of people to sell. I'll ask tho ;)
@@nicholmansgarage3501 Tell them it's for the good of the Tribe, I'm sure they will understand lol.
@@ATribeCalledCars I'll be sure to try! :)
Paystar and supporting trucks will get you through the game
I used the Kolob in Michigan after going to Russia just to by the OP first Azov and this one. I literally bought it for a single mission in Island Lake because it's huge tires let it go through the swamp with a trailer really well but I am going to try Alaska now for the first time and I don't really think I will be keeping it.
It works but there are better and cheaper and more versatile options, that's the issue.
@@ATribeCalledCars True. I just unlocked the big CAT so I am gonna try to use it I just gotta find the AWD upgrade
Some the absolute most Bri’ish analogies of ciders, pubs, and liters of gas I’ve ever seen lol.
It's a satisfying truck if you can cope with its limitations, agreed.
Nice facecam! 👌😎 I also found the the Chevy CK1500 with raised suspension loves to fall over a lot as well, so I guess it's just a scout thing. Which makes sense, really.
it's because of if it's sheer speed, with it's top V8 engine it's fast as a bullet. well, until you unlock a Loadstar or a Hummer
@@vladvulcan It is fast, yeah, and it's also very tall, so good ground clearence, too.
@@MarkTheVanMan, I've used it for half the game, before switching to Hummer
@@vladvulcan I still use it, love it, don't get me wrong :)
@@MarkTheVanMan, it's too fuel hungry, and having cans on the roof limits it's capabilities of goung under obstacles, such as pipelines.
Yeah it's not great and nearly made the cut.
My experience with a Loaf with stock hight and highway tires is great. I took the prototype exploration trailer from the railway station to it's destination without help
in forza horizon 4 they have the international scout 800 and you can manage to squeeze 400+ HP out of the stock motor i definitely think it needs a buff
Hold up
I know what must be done
I had a blackout. I missed the heavy duty whatevers.
It's coming at some point, don't worry.
@@ATribeCalledCars Thank You! Do not be merciful. If it is possible keep the CAT alive, I love cats.
It's a great truck yeah, I've used it a lot. Good shout.
You monster how could you put the LOAF in this video!
I'm already paying the price on the Discord, don't worry.
I am running an American-only fleet, in my need-the-greatest-amount-of-developer-loving list:
P12 and Longhorn 4520, their torque is only enough to pull themselves over the grade climbing. So my actual high-saddle towing is done by M916A1, a 6 wheeler without mud tires, what a shame!
Until now, my fleet still lack proper high-saddle tractor, while Russian fleet has an entire sub-fleet of high-saddle tractors.
Blew items are optional:
ANK MK38, The picture on the load screen of Pedro Bay - Alaska shows MK38 is towing a heavy duty tanker trailer, which means MK38 used to be capable of frame add-on, but got removed eventually. MK38 supposed to be Tayga king of American fleet.
6900TS, trailer towing and high-saddle towing. In real life, 6900 does has a saddle, just flip it out. Maybe currently the game system doesn't allow it, just let it tow trailers, since there IS a hitch there.
5600TS, why the hell can't 5600TS, a 10 wheeler can't tow high-saddle when the C70, a tiny 4-wheeler can?
really wish the f150 from mudrunner was available, it would pair nicely with the Silverado
I'm surprised it is not, maybe in a later DLC.
This Kolob really only works well in deeper mud with the heaviest of trailers compared to other trucks who will totally get stuck there. But it really is slow and thirsty!
Fair point, that's its niche.
The Kolob is better in mud than the P16 or the P12?
Can you do like your top vehicles for every category? Or just like rank the vehicles?
The Griff Fleet video is coming.
The western star 49 x-ray need to update
I loved the facecam! great feature!
Thanks, seems like some people like it.
The F-750 is the worst truck, as of now, before the update. Its engine is so underpowered for its massive size, that it bogs down and stalls out on flat ground, let alone a steeply graded hill.
It would've featured but it's about to get a new engine so.
Lack of tarmak
*laughs in Alaska*
True, Alaska has actual roads that aren't awful. Great maps!
I like the Scout 800 but it love laying on its side.
Default state.
Talk to me when I can drop the Lada out of a Hercules in Flight Sim, right at A Tribe Called Cars Castle
Haha message received, loud and clear.
If you attach all those trailers on Transtar the turn radios is abysmal.
I kinda hoped it will be a redeeming quality and i could use it as a highway refuel station or something but even there it seems kinda bad. The truck looks kinda cute tho.
The scout 800 is only a viable option if you install the autonomous winch for when you inevitably fall over
Yep, agreed!
Lo4f is horse of a vehicle, best thing since sliced bread.
Badum tsh.
The Kolob is an early game beast - first truck you can get (along with p16, but no AWD on that one) with mud tyres of value 3 or more in the mud - almost highest in game. Other trucks are middling along at 2 at best, so the Kolob is an early game mud BEAST
In fact, I'd suggest it should be the first of 2 trucks people buy, along with the Azov
Very good point, the timing you get it makes a difference.
i just bought a stock DON 71 and crossed one of the rivers in the factory grounds map
it actually made it, but it then died from water damage
All the Kolob needs is diff lock always on.
The new dlc skin for the tayga is hot
The tiger one?
A Tribe Called Cars yup
I guessed 4 out of 5 from your review but didn't expect the Kolob to be in it hahah. Guess I'm just really patient with it in hauling big cargos. Finally at Level 20 now in Alaska. :D
Yeah it's the curve ball, I really wish it was more useful. Looks so cool.
Suprislingy i love theDon 71 as a rescue vehicle with smaller multi use tyres and non raised, i use it to save my other scouts when i get them stuck
The pay star sometimes gets on my nerves with its high body even without raised suspension and the single tire wide tires (that’s weird to say) make it a little tippy. But it’s a great early game truck.
It clearly says pay star
For me, the Twinsteer and the P16 are definetely part of the List:
Twinsteer lacks the option to pull trailers and for 4 Loading points even the "small" Fleetstar with short trailer (and crane!) is better, if you use the ramp trailer, nearly every offroad truck can pull 6 load points and every saddle truck can at least pull 5 so clearly better
P16 can only have high saddle and has no AWD and has only one set of tires, so a lot worse than the Kolob (Phase 2 of course!)
I dragged a fuel trailer out there to act as a base. But I can look into this potentially.
( I know I'm 11 months late but to anyone in the future wondering)
please please please don’t jump on the fall guys band wagon. you’re one of the few youtubers i watch that hasn’t and i thank you greatly for it.
I'll probably play it but not make videos on the channel, don't worry. It's driving games mainly with the odd plane!
A Tribe Called Cars it’s up to you what content you make, makes no difference to me bc no matter what it is, it’s entertaining asf.
The Don looks like a Ford Pinto if it was an SUV
I flipped my scout more then 20 times to reach to a Watchtower.
Thankfully I had autonomous wench, else I might have broke my laptop 😹
great vids help me a lot thanks
That LO4F is a Goddaaamm beast of a vehicle, a professional ~ maybe play on PS4
The BM17 drove me nuts for like 30 minutes tonight. All I wanted to do was take some service parts from the warehouse in Smithville Dam to the boulders (like a 2 minute drive) and the thing just kept tipping over. I heard it was a decent truck but as far as I am concerned, it’s useless if it can’t stay on its wheels.
And thats why we need a 900 ps trophy truck
Must be close now.
I still want a 91-99 Chevy/GMC Suburban K2500
Good list except for the Horse of a vehicle. No, just no. Mr Lone Wolf loves his lo4fs and has 12 of them. On pc there is a low rider hydraulic mod for it. Great video as always. I don’t have a worst vehicle yet as I haven’t unlocked them all. But the Don 71 probably would be the worst on on my list.
I feel like 12 isn't enough. I don't actually have one truck duplicated, maybe I'm doing it wrong.
What do you think of the idea of adding a new map/zone with loads of tarmac.
We have zones with snow, we have zones with mud why not a zone with tarmac.
A noob friendly map where you can just relax and drive on road.
A city map would be cool, you get a hint in Michigan. I think it would work well and could be made challenging in ways other than harsh terrain.
I us the scout for most scouting but yes it loves to roll down a hill the wrong way....lol
That's how it saves fuel.
The Don71 looks like it was entered in the gambler500 (they take a 500$ car and mod it for a 500mile off-road race) 😁
Definitely got that vibe!
Transtar was in a Terminator movie, and that's why peaple buy it... to feel like Arnie
Makes sense!
People say that there are no meme vechlies but just look at this list and maybe it can change your mind
Yeah definitely meme-mobiles.
A Tribe Called Cars vs. It's Mr Lone Wolf, Lo4fs at Dawn!
Lo4fs @ Don !
Ultimate showdown!
i love the loaf
I do too, but it needs a little love given its specs.
Lo4F is a Horse of a Vehicle! get yourself a Lo4F!
great Video Ben as always

@@TheKincognito, that's definitely what she said!
Why my boi loaf why?
To be fair, I did say it's lovable and I only want the best for our dear Lo4F.
I love the Navistar, so so good.
The KOLOB Show in this video I had for a long time and belived the 74760 KOLOB was terrible.. It’s time I make the switch... TO THE DERRY LONGHORN 4520
Nice, also an unusual vehicle haha.
YOOO HE ACTULLY REAPONDED
I love the scout 800, but yes. It loves to fall over. It's pretty good otherwise. On maps with fairly flat terrain it's very useful. If it didn't have such a high center of gravity it would probably be the best small scout, if not one of the best.
