Kurt angle vs Shawn Michaels was an instant classic. It's one of those matches that i can rewatch over & over again and never get bored of it.

Was lucky enough to see them against each other at a house show fantastic 25 minute match couldn’t ask for any more quality from start to finish
I'm not saying it wasn't a good match bc it Def was.....I just like that it was a bit overrated. I know I'm gonna get heat in the comments for that but it's true imo. 🤷♂️

2005 was a nostalgic year, Batista & Cena both became huge stars after WM 21, They go on there and have legendary carrers. Although it sucked that Eddie passed away. It still hits me even after many years, But other than that, 2005 was an incredible year.

A morbid fact Chris Candido passed away a day before my 21st birthday that year. I did a wrestling tryout the day after and I had “no gimmicks” on my wrist tape to honor him. I didn’t make it as a wrestler but I was moved to production. Yes, I did celebrated his life after the show.
Its so hard for me to believe Eddie passed in 2005 . Blows my mind and breaks my heart !
I was at the Armageddon PPV and a teenage me was so stoked to see Kane and Undertaker in person! It was so exciting - I brought poorly drawn Rey Mysterio and Kane posters and had the time of my life. Good times.
2005 might have been one of the best times in the business. Honestly. The Rosters was STACKED.

2005 was when I first properly got into pro wrestling. Started watching it after playing Day of Reckoning with a friend.
I was that Monday Night Raw on June 20th, 2005. The wedding between Edge and Lita (where Kane choke slammed the priest), an Intercontinental Title match between Carlito and Shelton Benjamin and a WWE Title match between John Cena and Mohammed Hasan. Batista also fought Kurt Angle in the main event. Great night.

Eddie Guererro's tragic death is the no 1 in 2005
I know these videos take forever to make, but they are some of my favorite videos on Cultaholic. Right up there with Jack The Jobbers "Weirdest Shows" series.

I've been waiting on this one, when I got into pro wrestling I didn't have sky TV to watch it here in NZ so all I had was some dvds from my mates and family that used to like it, my first 3 was royal rumble 05, WM 21 and vengeance 05 which made me fall in love with the business. 05 is my favourite year of wwe

Even though 2005 was a great year, Eddie Guerrero's passing that November really broke my heart when I read about the news in the paper. It really was a shame that we never got a match with him and Shawn Michaels. Love live Eddie Guerrero, RIP, Viva La Raza.

Day of reckoning 2 was awesome
2005 was a very good year me because I went to see WWE twice with my family & we got to see Eddie Guerrero up close and personal. Triple H, Batista, Rey Mysterio, John Cena, Kurt Angle, Kane, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, JBL, Big Show, Chris Benoit and the biggest name on the card Stone Cold Steve Austin. That's just naming a few. TNA was so good back at that time, we won't see those days again.
One of the best times of my life. Raw Vs Smackdown was at it's peak.
When it comes to 2022, I bet Cultaholics video will be at least double in length

I'll never forget Chris Cash. He had a fire inside him every time he was in that ring. You knew damn well it would be a great match. He was destined for greatness.

05 tna x division was absolute peak. Notable was the triple threat between Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles at unbreakable.

I think by 2005 I had become a lapsed fan because I know I missed ROH and TNA (the latter I'm sure I didn't miss much of). This timeline should be interesting because much of this I know nothing about.

Raven’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun match came back in 2022 and was (as is the case with a lot of current Impact) pretty decent. Recommended
2004-2007 was prime TNA/NWA

considering IMPACT just did a clockwork orange house of fun match with Sami Callihan yeah it's still around.... Raven even did a promo about the creation of the match.

2005 was a goat year period and the year grew to love the smackdown! Brand : Eddie and rey rivalry, taker and orton, batista becoming the main star of the brand carrying the WHC so yh smackdown was stacked the only rivalries on I like on raw was kurt and cena for the wwe championship and flair vs hhh.

Fun fact: we are as close to 2005 now as 2005 was to 1987. That’s crazy to me because I started watching in 2004 and 1987 might as well have been 100 years ago where as 2005 feels like 10 years ago
