What I love about this performance, is not only because is Shakira, I mean, hello! But also because it makes me remember the old times when performing on the VMA's was crazy, full of energy, artists leaving their body and soul on stage, when MTv was about music and making a mark on history.

It is a playback and there is a lot autotune included too in this performance. Look, I know she can really sing and she is great, not saying that she is not, but in this performance she is not singing at all, It's very innocent of you to think she's singing for ten minutes here.
The happiness she has when she dances, it's almost as it has stopped her aging. It's hard to believe she is 46! She has still so much life in herself, still looks so youthfull.

The setlist songs has no sense at all, doesn't follow a timeline of her musical career or a concept, looks like her sons choose the setlist for her and at last minute.
Same goes with her singing and dancing. The playback track is overedited with high-pitched vocals, she's not singing live (not something to discuss in a MTV VMA performance) not even trying to. She dances like she's hurry up and that dress doesn't help her, again it looks like a decision made at last minute.
She has become in a lame spectacle having some greatest hits, nice body and the enough money to bring a worthy performance
