My mam used to go to New Monkey and Wigan Pier and I would often see clips of her on the DVDs they used to make at New Monkey when they had the camera going all through the venue throughout the whole night and it looked so good man, even if I wasn’t really /too/ big a fan of the MC and moreso just liked the backing tracks, I’d have still loved to experience it. Yeah. Even though people like Darren Styles do still produce "UK Hardcore", it doesn't have the same sound. It ends up just sounding more like "stereotypical EDM but 160-180 bpm and with slightly bassier kicks" like this: czcams.com/video/srd6rawOlGo/video.html But nothing close to the huge thumping pounding kicks. Even the synths of modern UK hardcore are pretty much what you'd probably hear in a big room house track.
95+ those were the good old days for happy hardcore, after 00 most the gifted dj's left the scene as the music was turning a different direction unfortunately. Some of the new stuff is OK and great to listen too BTW
