That's a backing track at the beginning of Puzzle and isn't added post-production, but is part of the show. The synth line is composed and performed by lead guitarist Kanami, who also composed this and most other Band-Maid songs.
It's a complete PUZZLE to me why the entire rock world aren't (yet) solid Band-Maid Fans! Is there some language / cultural / sexist chauvinism going on? Is it just incompetent marketing? Is there NO GOD to give some justice where justice is due? ;-) Luckily for them, Band-Maid continues to accelerate in creative song writing, performance, and sold-out shows worldwide.🤘🎀🤘Thx Band-Maid fans, Maidiacs, and Guitar guy!
Thanks for doing these. These are fun. A lot of the magic of Band-Maid is catching new details on repeated listens. Incidentally, they tune down but also have pitch shifting pedals, so they can basically change tuning on the fly for sections like that.
There’s acoustic version of Puzzle from 2018 Zepp Tokyo show, with only Saiki on vocals with Kanami on acoustic guitar and backup vocals. Definitely check it out 😊

Kanami is the most prolific writer since Lennon/McCartney , Elton John/Bernie Taupin or even the glimmer twins Jagger/Richards. Kanami writes all members parts and sends them data packs to learn it and send back feedback and recommended changes. Akane at one time said that what Kanami sends her some times requires 4 hands and 3 feet lol so she does her best to make it work, but one thing for sure Kanami is always challenging the other members to step out of their comfort zone which in turn makes them all better musicians. Now I would really love for you to check out the acoustic version of this song, with only Saiki and Kanami, it's a brand new experience and changes the feel of the song dramatically. a little suggestion for you...if after the first play through when you begin to break it down you could enlarge your cam and reduce the music video so some of us beginner guitarists can see more what you are doing. you've got a great ear! cheers

Great analysis! Your ear is good enough to guess the chords after just one listen. If you haven't visited yet, I recommend "Jbf Music & Guitar", a professional guitarist. He also analyzes Band-Maid.
If you like the guitar in this you should listen to BAND-MAID's Awkward. It's a slower song but the changing riffs By Kanami are just wonderful. Now that you have finished listening to almost all of my favorite bands, BANDMAID, NEMOPHILA, LOVEBITES ,and GACHARIC SPIN, theres' some fucking fans that thinks that their favorite band is better than those japanese female bands,, the band is called THE WARNING , i want to hear youre honest opinion about that fucking overrated band.. Their fans said they are better musicians and play better than those japanese female bands..
I've never heard that being said by The Warning fans, or vice-versa for that matter. Is that all of the fans of The Warning saying this, or just a few trolls in the CZcams comments?
The Warning and Band-Maid are both awesome bands and i would say that the majority of both bands fanbase love them both. The Warning Army and the Maidiacs are united in my opinion. Band-Maid the best in the east, The Warning the best in the west and together they rule the rock world. peace
Both bands are playing together in Japan, they have respect for each other and I see the same of their fans. I don't see the need for saying who is better or not, music is an art form and each person has their likes and dislikes as with any art.
