We indians needs to realise that the age of aryabhatta, bhaskaracharya, ramanujan is well gone. We indians needs to realise that the age of aryabhatta, bhaskaracharya, ramanujan is well gone. We can't just sit and be proud that 1000 years ago there was a great indian mathematician, we actually need to develop our education system and inspire the youth towards research and promote the research culture. Condition of math research in india is not to be very proud of. We should take steps to encourage scientific temper, not just make students study for exams and prepare them for the corporate world.

Really did not.
But its great.
they have many Olympiad tho their general public sucks at maths and even comman sense sometimes.
Edit: thats what social media has made an image of America. Most of them being from NYC.
It somehow comes by cheating or counting Other Origin people as its own while not even respecting them.
I fully expected them to top the list, the US is great at diversity. When you think of an American you don't think of a specific race but someone who was born in the states, but when you think of a Japanese person you get what i mean. If you have Chinese parents but were born in the US you are an American, which is why the US has so many Chinese Americans who would rather represent the US rather than China in a mathematics tournament.
The US also has superb universities, a random university that's not MIT or Harvard is likely ranked higher than the highest ranked university of a first world country. The top 10 and top 100 are all dominated by US universitie, this is why they have a lot of exchange students.
