Can’t wait for mine to arrive. I’ve been using a John Deere greens mower which I love but just isn’t designed for homeowner lawns with hills and tight turns, the axles get in the way, etc. this new mower finally has the features that mclane truecut and cal trimmer don’t have but it is still made for the homeowner. Yes it is expensive but I took the plunge. I can’t wait for mine to arrive.
Looks really awesome. Should complement your other equipment. I hope Reel Mowers plans to keep making these unit and has a good business model to stay in business for a long time. Thanks Ryan for representing the cool season reel mower enthusiasts!

I currently have Bermuda grass in Dallas area. When is the best time to overseed with rye grass?
During the late Fall is the best time. Then as soon are your Bermuda goes to sleep, your rye grass takes over.

I’m working just down the street from Reel Rollers right now. I need to swing by and check them out. I have been wanting to get a reel but I think the wife may strangle me if I spend more time in the yard.
I currently have dirt, used a bobcat and cleared around whole house, 1 foot down from all finished surfaces, I wanna be able to mow straight on grass from sidewalk and driveway with a reel mower and not scalp because of lipage, should topsoil be flush with top of those surfaces or a little bit below?
Idk what happed to my algorithms but it booted you right out of my feed. Kept turf mechanic in though. Came searching you out as it’s about time to rock and roll on the lawn. Keep it up Ryan!

Can you leave grass clippings left by a reel mower on sand levelled lawns? Going to be new to reel mowing and just want to arm myself with as much knowledge as I can get!
You can but I would also use the grass catcher frequently. If you are mowing every other day to keep up with growth it can be quite a few clippings being returned. Growth regulators can help as well.

After we spend over $3,000 for a Swardman, something better comes out. But is it truly better is the main question?

OH YEAH!
This may be comparing apples to oranges but how does the swardman compare to the revolution? We just put in an in-ground pool in Ohio with a .33 acre lot, looking to start reel mowing. I like the multipurpose idea of the swardman to dethatch etc. without several units occupying space in the garage. Any advice is much appreciated!
This is built much more like a tank and obviously more width. I never did more than about 4k sq ft with my swardman because of the width. I don't see much customer support for Swardman machines compared to the past so that would be my thoughts at this point in time.

RYAN - how did you like driving that Lincoln MKZ? Was it the 3.0 twin turbo or the basic 2.0T or a 2.0 hybrid - if you can't tell already by my channel art which you'll only be able to see if watching CZcams on a smart TV that's a 3.0T AWD fully equipped

You could of picked up the same exact mower, California trimmer catalyst that already has interchangeable cartridges 🤣
@@thimitri1 the Cali trimmer catalyst is the same exact machine as this. I got a flex 21 and Rolux and by far the best machines I've ever owned

Used to watch Ryan’s videos all the time with the time master. Reel mowers look like they are what draws views but it’s just not realistic for a lot of people on price. I know it’s not Ryan’s fault. Great videos for many years.
Funny because when I had the timemaster, most people complained it was out of reach for most homeowners and too expensive. I've leaned along the way there is no way to please people so I try to do what's fun for me. Thanks for watching!

I'm a lil lost when he says it's been a project for almost two years, this is the exact same mower in Europe and it's the same as the California trimmer catalyst.......
Also very very similar to the rolux which has been available is south Africa since the 60s
I'm going to be that guy I know but why so expensive? Why not try to make a reel mower for the 1/4 acre guys that is a little more than half that price? I know it's a want. Not a need but dang! I just want to reel mow. reel low. with money left to blow....ya know?

Having independent reel and roller drive is nothing new I have a 1965 Ransomes Matador mower that has a sliding dog clutch to stop the reel ,most of the mowers available in the UK have independent drive

am i hearing u correctly i can put rye on top of zoysia to keep green grass all year around true or false?
It's better over Bermuda because zoysia can be finicky in general.
